We had four different rooms booked. While this hotel had a perfect location, the rooms were a bit lacking. AC wasn’t working in one of them so my friend had to move rooms. One of the other rooms had door issues, my girlfriend literally had to throw her body at the door to get it to open. My room which was suppose to be a suite ended up being a junior suite, I was disappointed because I had booked the room Specifically so we would have a large enough room to hang out in. They told me that the suites had been booked for MONTHS so there is no way I was told I had a suite. If you had a question the lady at the front desk would say she can’t talk to you right now or can’t get to your problem because she was too busy and that the hotel was fully booked and she didn’t have time. So my question is, if you knew you were fully booked for a SATURDAY night why wouldn’t you have more staff? Also, my room was dirty. Part of a wrapper was still on the floor, in the shower there were dirty feet marks and the desk had some sort crumbs all over it. While we made the best of our time, this hotel needs some work. Oh, and they took a $150 deposit from people that lived within 150 miles of the hotel Incase of damages! Which was never mentioned. I thought that’s why we had a credit card on file? It’s an annoying visit overall

The eating area was very well organized and comfortable. However, the room was small and outdated. Other than my check-in and my check-out, only one employee spoke to me in the three days that I stayed. I didn't get the room I had reserved. So I won't go back there.

Awful Room & Awful Service-Must have had last room

Pros: Pulling up to the hotel, it appeared to be a very nice hotel. You would think the inside would be just as nice.
Cons: In that particular room everything needs improvement. The desk clerk should be professional and go out of their way to make customers comfortable.
Location: Nine miles out you would fine AppleBees. Richard Childress Racing Museum, but it was closed during my stay. We visited family.
I had a room with a King sized bed. The room was 80 degrees! Turned down to 68 thinking it would be fine upon return, Found the AC did not work. Notified hotel and requested fan. They could not accommodate. It was supposed to be a non-smoker room, it reeked of smoke odor. Plugged in cell phone to charge over night only to find that the outlet had to no power. Advertised Wi-Fi, there was none. I asked to change rooms, they said there was none available. This was room 224, a handicap ready room. When asked if there were any problems when checking out, the lady would not even make eye contact. My friend who was in room across hall had only one complaint. He plugged his hair dryer into an outlet that apparently worked too good because his hair dryer burned up.

Hotel was awesome

Unfortunately, we tried to find the hotel after dark, and even with a GPS in car and a Tom Tom, directions were unavailable. We talked to hotel personnel 3 times trying to find the hotel. Finally, after the last time, we got the correct directions. We were only about 6 minutes from our destination(hotel) and it took us over an hour to find it. There were no signs from the highway to indicate where it was located. In the daylight it was easy to find. But, being off the highway, at night, it was very difficult to locate. The hotel.,itself was great. Everyone slept well and the breakfast was very good. It was definitely a five star!!

What a beautiful property

This is a brand new property and has magnificent views to go with it. It is like no other Holiday Inn Express that I have ever experienced. The staff are great - don't miss breakfast - you'd miss seeing X - she is an absolute gem. She definately makes your morning. X the night auditor is noit your usual night auditor - she is funny, and cares about you even at 3am. X knows your name usually by the time you have checked in, and never ignores you. The General manager X is always visible, she even does breakfast. The hotel is beautiful, beds are comfortable & the rooms are clean. All the staff have pride in the hotel It definately is worth the visit - they definately make you feel welcome. I will stay again.

They Care about their Guests

Travel for a living and this by far is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Been here 3 times on business in the last 2 months and both management and staff treat you like gold. It is a very new hotel and if their friendliness and attitude drop by 50% they would still be in the top 5% of the hotels I've stayed in.
