We booked this home last minute for a spur of the moment family get away. At the time there were no reviews and most other properties had been booked up so we took a chance on this one. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see a beautiful home (nicer than we expected from the photos) with plenty of space for our family of six and not just a view of the lake but literally steps from it! We enjoyed a very comfortable stay which included walks each morning and each night along the road above the beach overlooking the lake, the sunrise over the lake, a trip into Lexington and a day at Lakeport Beach. We enjoyed time reading and talking on the deck, cooking breakfast in the equipped kitchen, and slept well in the comfortable beds. If you plan to come this way, a few things to note *Stores and food options in downtown Lexington close early on Mondays and many are closed altogether Tuesdays in the summer. Store hours fluctuate depending on season, so if you are wanting to do some shopping while you are here, just make sure to check before booking your days. *The private beach that is accessible from the house is very pretty and good for hanging out for a bit, but it’s is sectioned off so it’s not a beach you can just walk along.*Lakeport beach is a long stretch of very pretty beach that isn’t a far drive from the house. *The Pepperoni Cow has really yummy pizza and we hear they also have good shakes and ice cream as well. We would book this home again.
