Good basic room. The bathroom smelled faintly of urine which made me question how thoroughly it’s cleaned. It’s a bit noisy, both from street noise (always seemed to be people yelling outside at all hours), and thin walls. Breakfast was tasty and staff was very pleasant.

The staff were amazing. The front desk staff were pleasant, professional and accommodating. Our breakfast hostess was especially helpful and attentive. Although we appreciated the English breakfast, we requested a special order of scrambled eggs for our family. The chef enthusiastically agreed and then served us scrambled eggs that were cooked to perfection. We are extremely grateful for the positive energy that greeted us each day during a time of loss for our family.

The breakfast was the same every day. bedroom had no tissue paper nor any towel racks to hang wet towels on. the one bed was squeaky and the window curtains were dirty with large marks on them. Also the quilts under the sheets looked like they had not been washed in a long long time. Hairdryers were hard to use for they did not stay on.

I had multiple problems with my booking. I was told I could check in at 1pm but didn’t get my room till 2pm. I was told by two different associates that breakfast was till 10:30 and when we came down at 9:45 it was over. Both of these issues they corrected, but this caused stress to both my wife I. The biggest problem with this location is the parking. Unloading and parking a family people carrier was a nightmare. I’m surprised this hotel is listed as family friendly because I don’t think it is at all.

Among the best in Leicester.

Stayed for a night and was a pretty good experience. Less than 10 minutes walk from the main station, hotel is located close to lots of restaurants, cafes and shopping areas. Will certainly stay again.
