The Queen is an excellent hotel. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The the furnishings decor and rooms were to a high standard. The bar was well stocked and well staffed. Main criticism is the only restaurant there is Indian cuisine and if you fancy something more traditional you had to go elsewhere.

Perfect location for a traveller using trains, busses and their feet to explore. As a single older person, this hotel was extremely comfortable, clean and safe. Morning breakfast was the best during my last 2 weeks of travels, and the price was fair.

Room needed some work - scratched/chipped surfaces painted over in a different shade. Window surrounds needed repainting. Very few towels supplied. Only coffee facilities Nescafé sachets - not as “superior” a room as advertised. Hotel entrances not immediately accessible from car. Luggage needs to be walked either through public square or railway station. Not made clear when advertised.

I arrived early - reception were very helpful - I left luggage to allow me to go into Leeds. The Queens Hotel is a brilliant location. Staff were all smiley & helpful. Would not hesitate to return.

Having stayed at the Queens Hotel several times, I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, combined with its central location to all of the shops, pubs, restaurants and bars in Leeds. Despite its proximity to the train station, the hotel is remarkably quiet; therefore, a good night's sleep is par for any stay.

We arrived late evening by train so being able to enter the hotel directly from the station was a big bonus. Check in was smooth and efficient, the friendly staff gave us a complimentary room upgrade which was much appreciated. Our room was beautiful and spacious, the mattress and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom is clean and has all that you need. Location of the hotel is very central and within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone else.

Lovely hotel

Hotel is close to the station. Lobby is grand and impressive. Warm and welcoming reception staff. My room wasn't ready when I arrived at 14:00, however I was able to leave my bag so I could explore the city centre. On return to the hotel at 23:00, I completed my check in and collected my bag and tried to use the virtual key in the app for my room. There was a problem with the virtual key, so I was given a physical key card which worked fine. The room was cosy and modern, slightly dark- no main light ( bed lamp, bathroom light and light by door), tea tray was good included biscuits and two cans of still water, fridge in room, toiletries bottles in shower ( shower gel, shampoo and conditioner). The window was left slightly open which I didn't discover until the morning, so room was cold, also think heating co trol is locked in bedroom. I had an end room on the first floor, no view( if you take the stairs you have to go up at least 4 flights so I recommend taking the lift with baggage. I didn't use the bar during my stay but looked good. Check out was easy and was able to leave my bag and collect later which is very useful.
