The space

Designed by alsoCAN architects and featured in Dwell magazine, the Suite Shed blends rustic charm with thoughtful contemporary design. Timber boards and weathered metal have been exposed internally, while fully insulated walls and roofing create a warm, quiet and comfortable retreat.



Inside, the guest suite includes a living area, bedroom and accessible bathroom. A queen-sized daybed in the lounge can be closed off to create a second sleeping space. Shelves are stocked with games, Australian flora and fauna books, Tasmanian walking guides and local travel information to help plan your adventures.

The Suite Shed was designed as an inclusive, sensory-friendly space with accessibility in mind. Features for guests with low vision include sensor lighting, handrails, a talking microwave and induction cooktop, while the kitchenette and bathroom are wheelchair accessible.
