1/5 – Would not recommend Localhost properties
This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve had.
The first apartment I booked had black mold covering the bedroom walls. Localhost’s solution was to have someone come the next day to wipe it off while I stayed there overnight, which is completely unsafe. I had to fight to be moved to another place that night.
The temporary studio they put me in had no Wi-Fi, bugs in the shower, and two beds pushed together as a “double.” Despite the mold issue being their fault, they expected me to pay extra to move to another unit.
Communication with Localhost was extremely poor. They were very difficult to reach, and even Expedia struggled to contact them while trying to help resolve the situation and process my refund.
The replacement apartment (Odin) had multiple issues as well: ants on the floor, stained sheets, and a mattress so worn you could feel the springs. The A/C remote didn’t work due to dead batteries.
The biggest issue was constant stomping and furniture moving from the unit above late at night and early in the morning. I contacted Localhost multiple times and was told they would follow up, but nothing was ever resolved.
After weeks of poor sleep, I left two days early. Overall, the experience was extremely stressful due to unsafe conditions, poor maintenance, and terrible communication.
