1. we were told at check-in that we didn't have a booking, despite the hotel having charged us the previous day. This process took 20 minutes to resolve. Sow check-ins and limited staff appeared to be normal.
2. the nicest part of the pool area is reserved for those who want to pay RM30/day extra.
3. the hotel prioritises large groups over families. For two of our five breakfasts it was impossible to find a table and all the food was empty or low stocked. Parts of the hotel would then be cordoned off for these corporate groups. I get that, but don't disadvantage your other paying guests.
4. some of the guests have no hygiene. I saw people lick their fingers and stick them in a sugar bowl, and take a bite of fruit, decide they didn't like it, and put it back on the buffet plate. Not the hotel's fault but unpleasant regardless.
5. the beach bar is nice but only has half of the menu available at the lunch times we were there. Service here was good, though.
6. buy food and drinks across the road at half the price. I'm OK with a convenience tax, but that is too much.
Other than that, an OK hotel for an OK price.
