Close to the beach area but very quiet. The place was clean which was important. Offered discount at the pizza place downstairs. If I was staying a long time I would probably choose a hotel with a pool but for one night it was perfect

The hotel is above a strip plaza. The reception is on first level then you take stairs to second floor where the rooms are. The carpet is stained in hallways. The rooms however are very clean and modern. My bed was comfortable but the twin bed was not. Overal if you are looking for a place to sleep I highly recommend this hotel.

Great Location

The room was comfortable but the cleanliness was sub par. Location was great near too everything you would need a restaurant walking distance which was great for breakfast. The entrance and hallways was in need of cleaning. They could use a good house keeper.

Not an accessible building. No elevator. Not mentioned in the description. Not suitable for persons with limited mobility or difficulty climbing stairs. 2 flights to get to the room floor. Web description/photos show only the front door, which disguises the reality that it is in a strip mall with a pizza place and a dollar store and actual hotel is above. While the room was clean, the hallway carpets were stained and dirty. Staff at from desk were nice, and helpful - not their fault the conditions.

This was a good property for the convenience, it’s super close to grand bend. Bed was comfortable but the AC unit didn’t work well. We had a cute view of the forest behind the property which I liked. For the price it was a cute hotel.

I hate to say anything negative, but the first thing I saw in the room was a cockroach coming out of or near the A/C unit when I turned it on. I saw two other tiny ones later on in the bathroom. The manager was surprised when I told him, but I’m sure he knew about the problem because he admitted that another nearby room had been sprayed. But he was extremely gracious and offered me another room, but I refused. Cockroaches aren’t selective about the room they are in. Also the bed had very pointy corners, I have a few nasty bruises on my legs now from walking around the bed, so be careful! Otherwise the hotel is very quiet, mattresses are very comfortable, staff is friendly and courteous, room is quite clean, except the shower could use a bit of a scrubbing on the grout of the tiles. But for a short stay it was passable.

Amber Hotel was clean, check in was fast, pillows were confirtable best priced accommodations in the area. The only negative thing was that the shower gel container was empty. Overall 5 stars.

There’s a Motorcycle Rally at Grand Bend we choose this hotel because it’s closer and beach downtown it’s great time

The website for the hotel is very deceiving. I don’t think “new” pillow top mattresses sag in the middle. One of the worst sleeps I’ve had. Thank god I took a Advil PM. I don’t think I would have slept at all. As for Spacious room, the bed takes up the whole space and the bathroom is super tiny. I know it’s only a two star hotel so I shouldn’t have had high expectations but saggy mattresses are a little crazy. Also I’ve stayed in boutique hotels before and this ain’t one of them.

We have been to Amber a couple of times and it's a nice small hotel not to far from grand bend strip. Hotel is nice, clean and front desk is very helpful
