The location and view were amazing. We had a free breakfast delivered to our room every day and the food was fantastic. The star viewing skylight was good, but just keep in mind that you can’t see the stars as well if the moon is full, which it was when we were there. Also, this skylight tended to ice up a bit which affected the view of the stars.

the hotel is very well organized and communication is prompt and effective. Room is very comfortable , spacious and the bathroom is clean with separate shower and bathtub. complimentary breakfast is good and with variable choices. you can choose to eat at the lobby breakfast area or deliver to the room. the only comment is that the highlighted sky window for viewing the stars doesn’t serve the purpose. you can hardly see the stars. I would rather to have a patio than this.

Very unique hotel in a unique environment. Easy walk to downtown Lake Tekapo. Upstairs rooms have a skylight - that was a first. In a place known for low light pollution, it was fun to "sleep under the stars." Terrific experience!

Outstanding hospitality and cleanliness. I gave a 4 on facilities only because the wear and tear of so many guests has damaged some walls....just need some paint touch ups. Otherwise I highly recommend.

We had a great experience here - the room was spacious and well equipped with incredible views of Lake Tekapo. The skylight provided a really unique and cool view of the stars at night. The hotel is in a hill above Tekapo but is an easy walk or drive into the main town. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was nice! Would recommend and stay here again.

Galaxy Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice when staying in Lake Tekapo. The only thing that beats the views, is friendly, and helpful staff. Don’t make the same mistake we did and book multiple nights if you can!
