We didn’t want to leave!

I have always loved Lake Winnipesaukee but it’s been about 20 years. My husband and I drove up from Maryland with our 4 year old daughter and it was the best week we’ve had for a very long time. The house was built in 1900 and the other homes on the street are from the same era. Traditional New England charm. Big porches, hanging plants, American Flags, plus right on the water, with a fantastic outdoor setup and great vibe for families looking for a safe private beach for the little ones with conversation areas and places to enjoy the sun or shade. You can literally put a child in a stroller and walk anywhere. The boat cruises and train rides are again walking distance and such a great deal. I will never forget it and hope to be back soon!

Location makes this house perfect!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our vacation was great. The location of this house is perfect. Right on the lake with beautiful views. Everything on the boardwalk is minutes away walking distance. The house has plenty of sitting areas including the porch and another area with a fire to relax. The landscaping was beautiful with so many flowers. There are a few things I would recommend to the owners to make the stay better. First is the twin beds upstairs. They were extremely uncomfortable with no box springs and only a slab of wood under the mattress. It was so uncomfortable that my daughter couldn’t sleep there and ended up on the couch for the week. I would recommend leaving up to date cleaning supplies such as a vacuum, mop, and broom. The ones in the house were buried in the closet as if never used and didn’t work. There was no place to store our food. The cabinets were full which was great but we had to keep our food in bags on the floor. Lastly I would recommend having pest control visit regularly as there was a hornets nest in the wall on the way to the water where my husband was stung. Also there were so many spiders on the porch at night that we couldn’t sit out there. Regular pest control would be great. We understand that pests love the lake but it needs to be addressed. Even though there were some things that could be improved, the house was great for the week and we enjoyed our vacation. If you are looking to be in the middle of everything, I would recommend this house. Location is what it’s all about!

Walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants. Beautiful home, lovely little beach with waves when the water is busy. Plenty of room. Clean, quiet and comfortable. 10/10.
