Closest to Olympic National Park

Welcome to OLYMPIC-NATIONAL a family getaway nestled on the border and entrance to coastal Olympic National Park at Rialto Beach. At this 30+ acre compound you can enjoy 1,000 feet of open gravel bar river front that extends downstream into the Park. Guests remark that the home is perfectly located to explore Olympic National Park since it is so close to so many attractions and offers beautiful sunsets at Rialto Beach and the river.

There are trails on the property and nearby attractions include Rialto Beach, Hole in the Wall, Lake Ozette, First/Second/Third Beaches, James Lake and others in ONP. The closest trailhead in the Park is Slough Trail begining just a few yards from the property edge and leading to the Mora Ranger Station next door. The confluences of the Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Quillayute and Dickey Rivers are within 2 miles. The Hoh Rain Forest, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc Hot Springs, Ruby Beach and Kalaloch Beach are all within an hour from here. Lake Ozette is just a 8.5 mile trip by raven.

For fishing enthusiasts, the river front has one of the best salmon fishing holes in the region and is home to the best native steelhead fisheries in the contiguous United States. Halibut and ocean fishing is available at LaPush. The gravel bar along the property is an excellent stretch of fly fishing water and is a great place to watch bald eagles. The Quillayute hosts chinook, coho, sockeye and at times pink salmon.

Great National Park Visit
Our family of 4 came out to stay to explore the Olympic Coast. The access to the areas we wanted to go was excellent. We cook all our meals, and the kitchen was well stocked and easy to find things. It was a great place to spend a few days on the Olympic Peninsula.

Gem in the ONP
This house and property are fantastic. If we could rate it higher, we would. The quiet seclusion plus the daily visits from the local elk herd make this place magical. The house is spacious yet cozy and very clean. It has all you need to be at home on your vacation. The access to the park is phenomenal with short drives to multiple beaches and rain forest hikes. We can’t wait to book our next trip. Thank you to our host for making this property available!

Olympic Peninsula
We had a wonderful stay at this Olympic Peninsula home. It was extremely clean and had everything needed for a stay close the park. We felt like we had all the amenities we needed. Even though the home is in a remote area, there were all the comforts of home.

Amazing week!
We absolutely loved this property and our visit to ONP! We were able to set up our base camp here and travel to all of the major park sights. The property was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We even got to see Elk in the pasture on our last morning. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Magical forest and river
The forest and river on the property are fantastic because you're essentially surrounded by the Olympic National Park. The location is also ideal for exploring the many nearby beaches and the Hoh rainforest. In particular, the Second Beach trail is a short hike to tidepools (near the north of the beach, but not all the way to the arch) that had exceptional marine life at low tide. With binoculars, we had good views of whales and seals offshore! The home and outdoor deck were comfortable, clean, and convenient. The host was helpful and responsive. The water level in the river on the property was lower than usual when we visited, but that enabled us to walk on the smooth rock beds along the river, enjoying the gorgeous views and the beautiful colors and shapes of the river pebbles. Of all the terrific places we stayed in the Pacific Northwest, this property is the one where my husband wants to return.

Rialto beach getaway
Wonderful home. This is a beautiful property located on 30 acres of preserved land directly adjacent to Olympic national park. We saw elk deer, rabbits, bald eagles and a bear in the expansive backyard. 2.3 mile drive to Rialto beach. Home is renovated with many updates and modern on the inside. Very nice kitchen and appliances. Easy check in process. The owner was responsive. The only thing that would make this home more perfect, would be a hot tub on the expansive back deck, and a king bed in the master bedroom. Otherwise perfect in every way. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return again.

Phenomenal stay
This property is the most majestic one our family has ever experienced. The pictures don’t do justice to the sounds, scope and textures of the landscape. Quite literally, the house borders ONP and the access to all that it offers. We’d highly recommend it to anyone of any age

Don’t hesitate, just book it!
The house and location are absolutely fantastic for visiting Olympic National Park. Ideally located to visit the coastline as well as Sol Duc, Hoh, and Quinalt. The River access was great for our down days at the house. The house feels brand new… impeccably clean. The property is incredibly private and sandwiched between national park lands so really it’s like you never leave the park. The kitchen was well stocked. The host was responsive and welcoming. My girls took their hammocks and hammocked in the trees. They caught tadpoles and juvenile cut throat trout by the river. We relaxed on the back porch and grilled out in the evenings. We saw deer, an owl, and countless bald eagles. We would not look elsewhere if returning to the area! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
