Good hotel.

I have been to this hotel twice now. Once in June and again in December. A great stay both times and will do it again when i come back. Old soviet style building so don't expect the Hilton. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially if you only speak English. All staff is very fluent in English making easy for English speakers. Breakfast buffet was great. Great hotel. The only problem i had was the Wifi internet would cut on and off. Did not have this problem in my June stay but this December I and other guests experienced problems with the Wifi. In the end I would recommend this hotel to any one, especially if you are budget conscience and need a good hotel for the money.

Not what you see in the photos.

The hotel feels and looks relatively old, and unmaintained. I was disappointed upon my arrival. The pictures and photos on the hotel profile make the hotel appear so much nicer than what I experienced. They do have a healthy breakfast buffet bar. I enjoyed it very much. I don't plan to stay at this hotel in the future.

Good value in a 'real' hotel

Pros: Good location, clean, helpful staff, a good businessman's hotel with all that implies. The ladies are discreet but there if you're looking.
Cons: Windows don't open and the air doesn't circulate quite as much as I like. Might be just a wee bit stuffy for some.
Location: Gulliver shopping center is a nice place to hang out, have a coffee, grocery shop or just people watch.
The room was a bit cramped but all was clean and worked as expected. The bathtub was nice and deep, hot water plentiful. Wifi in the room was good and the breakfast buffet surprisingly generous considering the relatively low prices. It might be a bit far from the center (St. Sophia) but it is near a nice shopping center (Gulliver) with good stores and restaurants.

You are right, we are not a brand new hotel, still there are plenty of rooms, which has been renovated already and they look much modern. I would advice to choose Business class room or at least Superior one for Your future staying. There is a small price difference, but the room is better.
