It’s a nice property with beautiful ocean views. The main road is right next to the property so there is a little road noise but not bad. The accommodations were a little outdated but clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly accommodating.

The staff are wonderful and they will do whatever they can o help you. The food in the main dining area can be hit and miss. However if you pick a dish with chicken in them they seem to be okay to good. The traditional evening buffet they offer is great. These dishes can be recommended include the Hideaway pizza, the butter chicken, the chicken schnitzel and the chicken burger. There are lots of activities during the day if you want to take part. Doing a nearby village tour has recommended it’s interesting and you can ask lots of questions. Local day trips run by local villages are available and also recommended just ask at the front desk. I went to relax and got what I wanted so all in all it was a lovely place to stay.

Overall, the resort is just okay, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. We were hoping for a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere from the staff, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case throughout most of our stay. The customer service at the pool towel kiosk and the bar was particularly disappointing, staff appeared disinterested, unengaged, and in some cases, even asleep on the job. It felt like customer service was not a priority in those areas. On a positive note, we want to recognise Naomi, Voli ans the reception staff for their exceptional service. They were professional, kind, and truly made a difference in our experience. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff generally seemed unmotivated and disengaged. As for the dining experience, the menu lacked variety. The kids' menu, in particular, had very limited options, and breakfast was repetitive every day. Additionally, the staff in the morning was not attentive or helpful, they often ignored us and made us feel like an inconvenience. In summary, while the resort has potential, it falls short due to poor customer service and a lack of variety in the food offerings. A stronger management presence and better staff training could significantly improve the overall guest experience.

Hideaway has very comfortable bures in a beautiful garden setting, a wonderful range of activities and cuisine each day, the beautiful Coral Coast to explore, friendly and thoughtful staff who helped us connect with Fijian culture, and a family friendly atmosphere. I loved the way the staff treat the children. I think the only area for improvement is in food preparation and hygiene. Otherwise, we really loved our stay and are looking forward to visiting again. Vinaka vaka levu.

The staff are extremely friendly and kind. Limited options for food but there is a shop on most nights. Its beach location is great for snorkelling and beach walks. It's a nice quiet place but old and could do with a revamp. It's good valve for money.

We stayed at the Fiji Hideaway for 7 nights breakfast included. The grounds, gardens, beach and pool area were great, beautiful setting and very family friendly. The staff are super friendly, engaging and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has entertainment on every night and plenty of activities each day if you wish to take part. One of the best features we loved was the spa with a superb choice of treatments at very affordable prices and a quality service. All off site activities were easy to arrange at the front desk. A few negatives we experienced: - one of our bures had a faulty lock which meant if you left you couldn’t get back in. This was highly annoying over the first two days and a promised fix never happened, but we were relocated to an alternative room on day 2. - the breakfast service was very casual and disorderly, in particular we ordered food that was not delivered, orders were mixed up, we had to chase servers to order, there were insufficient cups, glasses, bowls to meet the number of diners. - there were requests for clean towels that went ignored on multiple days. - the bedrooms were okay but the bathrooms were noticeably worn out, grubby looking tiles and surfaces, broken fixtures, loose toilet seats, very poor standard. Still we enjoyed the stay overall and the resort met our expectations as a 3 star hotel giving value for money.

Absolutely fantastic value for money. Lovely resort that’s great for families or couples. Not over crowded. Fantastic snorkeling and reef walks. If you are after the true Fijian experience without needing all the luxury amenities….you have come here to experience the Fiji islands after all…this is paradise. We are already booking here for next years…but 3 weeks this time. Well done Hideaway Resort and Spa. A++++
