Breathtaking views and direct beachfront access. If you like turquoise waters and the sound of waves crashing on the beach, Carambola is the place! Charming rooms with high ceilings, open air patios with cushioned benches. Beds were comfortable, water pressure good. Fair amount of walking is necessary, parking was a 2 minute walk, uphill mostly. Staff were friendly enough…service in restaurant was variable…but expect that you will sit and wait for longer than on the mainland. But, the views are so beautiful, and the island breezes so mesmerizing…you will barely notice the time! Honestly…wonderful value, clean, safe, and cared for…I would return tomorrow if I could!

Place was beautiful. With a car rental, the drive to and from is a breeze. The staff were all so pleasant. I would return. Where Carambola has opportunity, is maintaining the build up of spider webs in the patio area.

The resort's location, while a bit isolated, is absolutely beautiful and worth the occasional inconvenience. That said, maintenance and cleaning of the rooms and the resort in general could be better. In addition, service can be slow, but that is typical of the VI. It is still a great place and worth the trip.

The staff was not friendly at all, we both got bug bites all over our body and the food wasn’t good at all came out cold. I purchased a beach front view and did not get it. Overall the experience was bad. But I can say I get to mark USVI off my bucket list.

I had to have my room changed upon arrival. It smelled of mold and had a dead bug on the floor. The staff was pleasant, and the food was good. Housekeeping cleaned my room while inwas touring the island, and left it unlocked upon returned, with all my personal affects in th room.

We had no bedding for the fold out sofa. When I called the front desk they told me they were sending someone and they closed for the night without delivering it. The sofa was scratchy and without sheets and a blanket it was unusable. All of us had to sleep in one bed. It was awful. Noone

Nice grounds but not as well maintained. Dirty entrance to room- cloths and food on ground. TVs did not work and lost WIFI. Not as clean room, yellowish towels and sheets. Will not stay again, especially since the drive there is so far.
