Beautiful rental on Lake Michigan
We rented this house for a family reunion. We loved it, and they are currently doing renovations so it will probably be even better in the future. The pool drew us to this house. It is heated, but swimming was chilly on the colder days of our stay (70 degree days with some wind). They had lots of pool floats and toys, which kept the kids engaged for hours. We were nervous because the pool did not have a safety gate, so we took extra precautions to make sure kids were not unsupervised so we had no incidents. The 2-4 year olds loved the playset in the front yard. It was great to have a space for them to play outside. This house is baby friendly. They had a stroller, a high chair, child protective locks on the door handles on the first level, and baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs. They also had a variety of books (including board books) and games in the house. The kitchen was large enough to cook for a big group, and between the dining room, kitchen island, and outdoor tables, we had enough space to sit and eat.This house would benefit from an additional full bathroom -- there are only two, including the master bath.The owners were great communicators, and we'd definitely stay here again.The ultimate bonus was seeing Kewaunee's 4th of July fireworks show from the property!
