Went to Kernville for a few days to get away, the house was perfect fit for our family of 5. Very spacious. Great location, close to town and can't beat being on the river. Caught several fish right behind the house! Would definitely come back.

This home delivered! Beautiful property, private river access is a must have in Kern - it is so great to walk out and jump in. Hanging out at the beach in the evening or having a quiet cup of coffee as the sun starts to peek over the mountains is the best! The house itself is fully stocked and very well maintained. Mattresses are a dream, so comfortable! Host is available and very responsive. We had a wonderful summer trip! The only negative here is that the air conditioner was not able to keep up with the heat - not uncommon in Kernville. We were told that this issue is going to be resolve, however I recommend the host have some big fans available in the garage for guests. We made it work by keeping the bedroom windows open at night and taking a nice cool shower before laying down.

The location was ideal and close to restaurants and markets, the house was spacious, and being located right on the river was very peaceful and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the house was quite dusty, and my allergies were bothersome during our stay. The blinds, a/c vents, etc need to be cleaned. There were air purifiers available for use, however the filters were dirty and need to be changed. (I have the same kind at home and am familiar)I also had to hose down the deck and table outside myself due to dirt, spider webs and bird poop. Considering the cost of our stay, I was dissatisfied with the level of cleanliness in the home. The pocket doors were also very difficult to open and close, which is inconvenient if you’d like privacy in your room or the bathroom. Overall it is a nice property but needs some maintenance and deep cleaning.

Wonderful Riverside Property

We loved sitting on the porch and down by the riverside and enjoying the sound. Everything was clean. We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils we needed to cook. We enjoyed the space and the quiet neighborhood. We would recommend this place for sure.

Close to eveything in Kernville

I took some first-time "campers" to Kernville so they could experience the river rafting and tubing. The location was conveniently close to all the amenities in town, and the family had a wonderful time. They are already asking when we can plan the next trip.

Stunning river front home

Our family does a lot of summer vacations & rentals. We usually head to a beach town, but wanted to try a new adventure after 15 years at the beach. Stunning views, amazing location to the river & town, floor plan was lovely to all gather & be together for meals & or grilling on the deck. Easy to set up on the beach/river & float, people watch or enjoy the sunset. Hose on the deck made it great to hose off sand on feet, tubes & chairs. AC after the day in the sun was very much appreciated. We for sure will be back. Owner was very good at communicating & check in/out was a breeze. The only negative is the living room seating. The place sleeps 8 & has like a 65" TV, however only really has comfy TV seating for 5. Tons of seating for eating, but high bar chairs aren't comfy for movie or sports watching for any length of time. After a day on the river in the sun we like to relax & watch a movie, etc. If you are a family with kids, it probably works, but we are all adults, so a small couch that seats 3, and 2 chairs is all there is for TV viewing. 1 more simple couch would make all the world of difference. Other than this, we LOVED the home & will be back & figure out how to make it work. Thank you the new adventure.

Wonderful Stay on the Kern!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this amazing river front home. The home has a great layout for a family, had a well stocked kitchen, a beautiful deck overlooking the river, and a location that can’t be beat! My kids caught a ton of fish right in front of the house and we all enjoyed rafting on the river. The host was great and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to return!

Wonderful Summer Vacation

Beautiful house right on the river!

As mentioned by others, the actual experience is so much better than what you see in the photos!! Fishing right from the back of the house is amazing and watching rafters float by while relaxing out back was super enjoyable for the whole family! Can’t wait to visit again!

We loved the place as we walked in. Perfectly located on the river, with 2 balconies that overlook the river. The house has private beach. We enjoyed our stay and definitely will be renting in spring or summer. Hause was clean and full of everything to make you feel home. Great communication with the host.

Wonderfull Stay in Kernville

We stayed at the Riverfront property in Kernville over the Christmas holidays with my 2 daughters and our dog. What a wonderfull place. Clean, modern, great location and stunning views and river acces. Close to the town for all your needs. Will definitely book this property again when visiting the area.

River side retreat

Our family had a wonderful stay here. The river/beach access can't be beat, caught some fish and the kids hads a great time playing in the sand. The home was well kept and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay on Kern River

The house is a single level house within a neighborhood with a private beach on the Kern River. The stairs down to the beach are somewhat steep, so the house wouldn’t be a good fit if you had a immobile person with you. But dogs are allowed with approval, which was great for us. My son caught many fish right off the property. Across the river from the house is a campground but there was no disturbance from it. The parking area in front was ample. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental.
