Overall the property met our needs as a group of 14 but there was definitely some things that need improvement, first and foremost being communication with the hosts. We had emailed prior to the trip to ask some questions about the area and never got a response. We then emailed a few days before checking in as we hadn’t received any check in information and most of our drive was without cell service and we had groups coming from different locations but didn’t get any information back until mid morning after we had already started our journey. Once we arrived at the property we found that although we had registered as a group of 14, there was only towels for 12 people. We then emailed and texted the numbers provided and once again, never heard back. If there had been a major issue, I’m not sure how we would have gotten in touch with the host. Aside from lack of communication we found the cleanliness to be lacking- there was blood on a duvet cover and hair all over the bathroom floor as well as dirty dishes in the cupboard. Four of the 6 toilets didn’t flush properly and one ran continuously. We were hoping to play some outdoor games but the lawns weren’t mowed. Outdoor furniture was limited or broken and dishware was a bit sparse for a large group. We also were not informed that a truckload of workers would be parked and smoking right in front of the house and walking past the windows in the mornings. The area itself was lovely but we would not return to the property.
