Amazing River House

River House property is simply paradise. JoAnn’s home is wonderful and the grounds, patio, dock and the long list of activities provide the perfect getaway destination. All within a bike ride of downtown Kennebunkport.

Family trip to celebrate a member’s 49th birthday. Loved the bikes, paddle boards and kayaks, Kitchen was good for family meals. Loved the game room and outside games. Great place.

Luxury in Maine

If you are looking for an house with plenty of space, lots of things to do and comfort this is your house. We were 10 including three children and no one wanted to leave. Adults were happy to sit on the porch and watch the river flow by and the children were happy to kayak, canoe or fish on the river. We had a wonderful time, weather was cooperative, and hope that maybe one day we can return.

Enjoyed a week here with my family and young infant House has everything imaginable that you would need and the set up was perfect for us JoAnn is receptive and fast acting with any issues that arise Hopefully next year we will get out on water more but the dock was perfect especially in morn and late afternoon

Beautiful home in a great area

Great property with tons of natural light in the sunroom and ample activities in the basement game room! While the didn’t get the best weather, we did get to enjoy the dock, canoes, and bikes as well, which are a very convenient and fun way to access the nearby town! JoAnn was a very responsive and accommodating host and we would certainly stay again!

A beautiful property with every convenience you could ask for. We were two couples and each had plenty of private space. The kitchen & pantry very well stocked for at home meals. Joann is a very responsive hostess. A beautiful waterfront setting.

Incredible house, inside and out!

The River House in Kennebunk Port was absolutely incredible. Our family stayed here for 2 nights on a family vacation and we wish we could have stayed much longer! The house is beautiful, with more than enough space indoors and outdoors to enjoy your family and friends. The house to clean to perfection, and so homey and cozy. We will recommend this house to friends visiting the area, and hope to return back on another family vacation!

Fantastic property!

My family of 8 adults, 1 infant and one dog had a wonderful vacation at this property. The house is beautiful as are the grounds. View is spectacular! Everything is well thought out. Easy walk to town. JoAnn (the host) is extremely helpful and responsive to communication requests. Book this property -you will not regret it!

Lovely setting overlooking the river

Lovely house, amazing kitchen. We had fun kayaking off the dock, playing corn hole, golfing at 3 par course nearby, touring art galleries, wandering Kennebunkport, and just sitting on the back patio watching boaters and ducks on the river and birds and chipmunks in the garden. All 7 us (5 adults, 2 teens) enjoyed the spacious house and the views over the river.

Perfect for our damily

Best possible place would could have picked for our sons wesding. That was the most well equipped house we have ever stayed…we used everything-bikes, boats, ping pong table, annd croquet. The house incredibly well stocked. Nice touch with fresh flowers in rooms. The quality of the home and the scenic beauty of the location on river is better than the pictures. Well worth the cost!

Great place for a family holiday !

It is a perfect family house . It is bright, large, and very well equipped. The beach is easy to get to by bike or car and Joann kindly provided us with a parking pass. Everything was easy and I enjoyed cooking in that lovely large kitchen! Supermarkets are nearby and the cute town of kennebunkport is just a few minutes away . The kids enjoyed kayaking and my parents liked jumping off the pier! We would love to come back to this river paradise .

Wonderful spot!

Lovely home. Well stocked kitchen . Great playroom; toys and games for all ages! An added bonus: A bird feeder is set up in a central location, allowing views of chipmunks, squirrels and of course, all different beautiful birds from many windows of the house; a wonderful treat for all! The whole family hopes to return to The River House next summer!

Wonderful family get together at a spectacular home

Wow! We’ve stayed at a variety of homes through VRBO, and this was by far the most beautiful! Attention to detail, cleanliness, hominess , and warmth of the home were above and beyond. It’s clear that this is a family home owned by people who value family and togetherness.The house itself is incredibly beautiful, incredible architectural details, impact appointed, clean, thoughtful details throughout for their guests. We will definitely return. Highly rrecommend!

FABULOUS property!

What a GORGEOUS home! We had such a lovely stay in this beautiful waterfront home. 10 of us stayed very comfortably in the home for a family wedding—there was plenty of space & privacy for all of us. Although we weren’t able to use them, they provided such fun “extras”…several kayaks & bikes. We did have fun playing games in the basement. They have tons of games for all ages! I would highly recommend this home & it was in a PERFECT location. Also, communication with the owner was seamless & prompt!

Lovely retreat on the river

We were a group of six friends who have known each other for over 30 years. We wanted a cozy place to hang out, cook delicious food and relax. The house was perfect. The kitchen is so fully stocked with tools and equipment, it made our cooking adventures fun. While the outside areas looked wonderful? It was a bit too chilly for us to enjoy. The grounds were beautifully groomed. All beds were comfortable, and bathrooms fully stocked with whatever you may need. The host is easy to contact and getting in was simple. Ample parking. Just a lovely retreat for a bunch of old ladies who wanted to share each other's company in a comfortable space. Highly recommend.
