Wunderschöne Villa mit mega Aussicht

Wir hatten eine super tolle Woche in der Villa. Das Highlight ist natürlich der Garten mit Pool und der wunderschöne Ausblick, vor allem bei Sonnenuntergang. Die Lage war etwas außerhalb, aber mit dem Mietwagen erreicht man schnell Strände, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter lief reibungslos. Auch spontan wurden alle unsere Fragen geklärt. Ganz besonderen Dank auch an Rubina, die täglich im Hintergrund alles sauber gehalten hat.

Perfection

Everything about this villa is superb, from the view to the amazing outdoor space, the very useful welcome pack and Rubina the maid’s daily visits. The villa is conveniently close to the airport (4 minutes drive) which is very handy if you’re landing after midnight as we did. The planes do not disturb the tranquility but rather offer an occasional diversion. Kefalonia is a fantastic destination with so many beautiful beaches to explore and the island remains unspoilt. Highlights for us were a trip to Assos and Myrtos Beach and an amazing meal at Anemos Taverna at Kaminia beach. Definitely hope to return to the island and villa soon.

Wonderful stay and beautiful villa. Perfect for a family getaway

We very much enjoyed the villa. The highlight is definitely the pool and garden area and the beautiful views. We travelled with two 5 year old girls, and it was really great having both a small and a big pool. Also, loved the fact that there were sun lounges on two sides of the pool. We used the BBQ outside nearly every day. It requires charcoal, so had to find somewhere to buy that. It's a definite bonus that the villa gets a daily clean as well as 2x weekly pool clean and gardening. It truly felt like being in paradise. And we were pleasantly surprised about the limited noise from the airport, but rather fun seeing the few planes come in (only about 20 a day). You definitely need to have a rental car to stay here, and the road is fairly steep and narrow up to the house. The wifi disconnects every hour and it would be nice if we didn't have to log back on every hour for the full week. In terms of beds and facilities, the house has everything you need. There are no nearby cafes, so you're either at the house or out somewhere with the car. We enjoyed having a few full days at the house and otherwise got to explore the beautiful island. There were a few insects around, so recommend insect repellent to avoid bites. All in all a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend the house to families looking for a great pool villa experience in the sunshine.

A Great Place to Stay

Excellent info in run up to stay from owner and meet on on arrival. Villa superb, quiet and private and met our exact needs for 6 adults. Stayed for 7 nts with our family for 25th wedding anniversary. Villa is well equipped, modern, spacious and tastefully decorated. Pool and jacuzzi lovely in well kept gardens with exterior sun deck, patio, bbq area and outside seating for six. Views beautiful of sea, nearby islands and evening sunsets, although only 10 mins for airport you don't notice it really. Good places to eat only 10 mins away or travel to Agostoli, which is 15 mins away, for quay side dining plus restaurants in main square and shopping. You must visit Fiskardo, even though it's a trek, plus Mytros beach, dramatic views on coast road back to Agostoli, both are very beautiful, Skala beach is good also. Tips - you need a car and access is via very steep hill but don't let this put you off!

Luxury home from home

June 2017, 4 of us stayed at the Villa. It is literally a few minutes from the airport. Elina kindly arranged for a taxi to pick us up (20 euros) and also liaised with the car hire company (Greekstones - rent a car) to delivery the car to the villa on the morning of day 2. Villa Alexandra was perfect for our week in the sun. It is well equipped both internally and externally as the website shows (photos are accurate). The proximity to Lassi is great (5-10mins) as there is a superb beach there with excellent facilities, Argastoli is a further few minutes by car. We ventured to the north of the island to visit the picturesque fishing port of Fiskardo, passing the amazing view/beach at Myrtos. The journey took around 2 hours and is not for the faint hearted. There are a few large supermarkets outside of Argostoli, I would give Lldl a miss and go across the road to A&B Supermarket (i think that was the name) cleaner, greater choice and better value. Something to note, there's a family of cats that live around the villa, mum dad and a kitten. They were very thin when we arrived but we bought tins of food for then from the shops. They actually completed our holiday, as pet people we very much warmed to them and by the end of the week, they'd all put on a lot of weight. There's a guest book in the villa that mentions the cat's and someone actually bragged about NOT feeding them, pretty heartless in my opinion. To sum up, a great villa, perfect location, excellent amenities, caring owners. Would I go back? Definitely.

Amazing villa, fully equipped, great location. Stunning views and amazing pool. Great BBQ and outdoor dining area. Shops and restaurants only 10 mins away and the local Makris beach is stunning. Villa owners are great and the cleaner everyday is awesome. I'll be booking again for next year👍

Wunderschöne Villa mit traumhaften Außenbereich und Meerblick

Wir haben im Oktober 13 Tage lang einen schönen und erholsamen Urlaub in der Villa Alexandra verbracht. Die Villa ist sehr schön und wohnlich eingerichtet. Der Außenbereich ist außergewöhnlich schön. Fast jeden Abend konnten wir den traumhaften Sonnenuntergang über dem Meer bei einem Glas Wein genießen. Bedanken müssen wir uns noch einmal bei Rubina, die sich jeden Tag um die Bäder, die Schlafzimmer und den Rest des Hauses kümmerte und dabei völlig im Hintergrund arbeitete. Auch die Insel Kefalonia hat uns gut gefallen. Im Oktober ist es dort sehr ruhig, aber auch sehr erholsam. An den vielen kleinen Stränden ist man fast alleine. Uns - wir waren sechs Personen - hat der Urlaub sehr gut gefallen. Wir werden bestimmt zurückkehren.

Beautiful villa

What an amazing place, the views from the pool are breathtaking and were a pleasure to wake up to every morning. The pool is huge and with a large jacuzzi and big barbecue area you don't want to leave the villa. We had a fantastic week in villa Alexandra, and will certainly return.

Fantastic setting and Villa - no regrets

This is a great villa, perfect for families and groups alike. Its well maintained and equipped, very close to the airport - but far enough away not to be affected by the arrivals and departures, at least for us it didn't have an impact. While the interior is well furnished, its the outside space that is the real winner and if like us you spend most of your time outside then you can't ask for a better setting with great views and pool/jacuzzi. Cleaned daily and our rooms were tidied also. Although its located just a few kilometers from the airport and shops, you will probably struggle without a car or some form of transport (scooter is perfect for travelling around the local area and island) due to the steep hill its located on - this is probably the only thing you will need to take into consideration when booking. On the flip side you wouldn't get views like you do if you were not on such a hill! its just 10mins drive to the capital Argostoli and all the amenities and restaurants there, with Lassi, the largest local resort with the best beach in the area (Makris Gialos) also on the same road about 7 mins drive away. Highly recommended!
