We chose this hotel due to its proximity to multiple gold panning reserves, and were glad we did. I found the Skimmerhorn to be your classic roadside Inn. We were surprised at the available amenities, like a bbq pit, horse shoe pit as well as a playground; we didn't utilize them but were glad to have the option. Check in was quick and friendly. The room (1 bedroom, 2nd level) was clean and stocked with what one person might need for a night or two. While not as comfy as our own, the bed was suitable for a good night's rest. Overall, would stay again, and definitely hope to.

Rooms are updsted in furniture but not things like bathroom etc. Property has so much room and potential so I hope they are planning to do some upgrading on the landscaping and pool. Beds were very comfortable so that was great. Will stay again!

The air conditioner needs a little help. Very noisy, shut off during the night. Otherwise very comfy bed. Cute updates in the suite. Loved the full coffee pot and the fridge with freezer.

Loved the separate bedrooms in our suite. The main area with full kitchen was very roomy. Mounting the TV lower and upgrading the pull-out couch would have earned 6 stars!

Bathrooms in the unit we stayed in needed repairs however the rest of the room was super clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. Bed was comfy. Super if you want a dog friendly place to stay. There’s a huge fenced green space for them to run around. There’s an outdoor covered cooking space which is great also.

Bathroom fan was very noisy. Tried to call the front desk about a car alarm going off every 1/2 hour (from 11:00pm - 1ish am.) he couldn’t hear me over the bathroom fan.

The property is in a great location. Air conditioning worked amazing for the hot summer days and is a great option for when your doing a road trip and need a place to sleep only. Disappointments were the shower water pressure is so high it hurts the skin, coffee isn’t great so bring your own and filters! You have to wash the dishes (they charge if you don’t) and they don’t make your bed each day. Property advertises a pool but it’s empty and looks like it needs repair. Overall the property needs some tender loving care but again if you’re only needing a place to sleep this location works. Super friendly check in agent!!
