Have stayed in a lot of discovery parks but this one was not to standard of others l had a motel style cabin and there was loud talking and walking around all night till 3 am . Guess it had a joint wall and did not sleep at all . Too afraid to open door and tell them to be quiet We left at 530 .

One bedroom air conditioner did not work, living room air conditioner controller was broken, various lights inside and outside were inoperative (actually fell down outside stairs as was night time dark), stained and smelling cloth couch in living room, door to one of the bedrooms would not close and would not latch closed always open (no privacy). Was not fit for usage.

Unit is in urgent need of refurb. Pungent smell from the kitchen sink, dirty walls, rusted furniture, broken stove, broken electrical switches, shower recess has a dented hole in it, aircon makes a continuous clicking noise… linen and towels are very aged. absolutely overpriced for something that is not maintained. On a positive note- staff are very helpful!

Not worth the money they charge per night, $375 for a run down dirty dysfunctional chalet, stay elsewhere its way over priced and had no maintenance in yrs, blocked shower drain mould in the shower dirty air con filters, Cobwebs on entrance verandah, light didn't work in the bathroom, remote control for air con was broken. Dirt and debris under the beds, the list goes on. Wont be back next month.

Air conditioner in one bedroom needs servicing. Even when turned off, kept starting up and beeping. Saucepan with burnt bottom and miss matched lid on casserole dish. Not a single decent sharp knife. TV randomly started up during the night. Cleanliness excellent

A quiet and clean park, been here a number of times and it always meets and sometimes exceeds expectations. The staff were so helpful when my booking was messed up. The Manager (I think), quickly upgraded me to a deluxe room at no extra cost, 10/10.

Karratha has an ongoing shortage of rooms, hotels and rental properties. You need to books ahead for a reasonable room in town - and expect to pay the 'Pilbara Tax' on accommodation, meals and services based on the economic fundamental of supply and demand. This inflated pricing then ripples through the supply chain with higher pricing that then spiral upwards. So - almost $300 for one night in a very small, tired room that is half a donga. It was clean, the bed was comfy, the shower and air con worked. I have heard quieter tractors than the wall mounted air conditioner. You get enjoy hearing the comings and goings of the neighbors at all hours and their vehicles. Most of the workers start very early in the area - getting up at 5am to be onsite by 6 am or 7 am.

Pros… Well located park Air con nice & cool. Good mattress on bed . Cons…. No remote for air con Smallest tv ever encountered in a room 20 inch max Blinds have large gaps on either side allowing view into room (compromised privacy/security) Ceiling fan filthy Hand soap empty No plug for sink/washing up All in all, very tired & overpriced for product but understand Pilbara pricing is rampant I have stayed at this park previously but standards appear to have gone downhill
