Good hotel: you get what you pay for

Good budget no frills hotel. Obvious from location and other clients seen this is more of a one night “motel”. Only downsides were out of hands of hotel. Location: on far side of motorway feeder road from “back” of station with no pedestrian crossing, and rooms not soundproof ( Snoring from next room)

Convenient location and good family rooms

Arrived in Karlsruhe by train at 23. Had two tired (older) kids with us. Hotel is located more or less across to road from the train station so that was good. Rooms were clean, A/C, fairly new and nobody had any complaints about the beds. The kids slept in a bunk bed. Didn’t hear any noise from others. The rooms aren’t huge, but I’ve been in smaller ones. Large size was also not a requirement we had as we weren’t spending any significant time there. I’d say the size was just right. We had no problem fitting four large backpacks in there before we hopped on the train for Paris the next day. However four large suitcases needed to be opened at once might be problematic. Didn’t get to try the breakfast as the kids slept through breakfast time, but could be added on arrival. When we knew we couldn’t make the open reception time, we called and checked in via phone. Got a code to enter building and our room. Worked very well. Would stay again!
