The hotel is good - the room is a bit on the small side (but that is fairly normal for Japanese hotels) The hotel can be accessed directly from the Kanazawa train station (no need to go outside - very helpful on rainy days). The area around the station is very tourist friendly - and a quick bus ride can get you all the attractions. It is a great hotel if you like me don’t have a lot of time to visit Kanazawa, but do want to see some this interesting city. I would definitely recommend this hotel

The hotel is right on top of the train station and that makes the travelling super easy. Lots and lots of shopping and dining within the train station. Kanazawa castle, museum, Cha Ya districts and temples are easy to get to via the loop tour bus. The location of the hotel made travelling easier and more enjoyable. Definitely the first choice of accommodation.

Room facilities not user friendly for disabled

Not user friendly for people with disabilities. There is a huge gap between bathroom and the room. I need to request a step riser in order for me to enter the bathroom. Also I requested whether they have a room with easy access for disabled people. They found one but I need to pay extra of 5000 yen per night for a special room.

Good location in some ways, as it is within the railway station. You need earplugs though, as it's noisy at nighttime and in the early morning hours - you can hear street noise and trains and bells etc. But that's the only real downside to it. Wearing earplugs reduces the noise level - didn't completely block it out though. Just be aware of that...

We recently enjoyed a 3-night stay at the JR Via Inn Kanazawa, and we couldn't have been happier with the location and overall experience. The hotel's direct connection to JR Kanazawa Station is an absolute game-changer. Getting around Kanazawa was a breeze, with easy access to buses right outside the station and effortless train connections to places like Fukui. The surrounding area is a vibrant hub of shopping and dining, offering a plethora of options right at your doorstep. Despite its proximity to the bustling train station, I was amazed at how quiet the rooms were. I never experienced any noise disturbances, ensuring a peaceful and restful stay. The rooms themselves were impeccably clean and thoughtfully designed for functionality. While not overly spacious, they provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I was particularly impressed with the cleanliness. If you're looking for a super convenient and comfortable hotel in Kanazawa, the JR Via Inn Kanazawa is an excellent choice. I recommend it for its unbeatable location, quiet rooms, and overall value.

Very convenient location as the hotel is practically on top of the train station. Staffs can speak English and we're very helpful. Beside the check in counter is a table of free basic needs like toiletries, accessories, drinks, ect. We really like this approach as this cut downs on waste and we only need to take what we need.
