The 1st night the light on the switch for heat pump was annoying me. So I turned the pump off, but that changed it to totaly light up the whole screen on the control panel , which I couldnt sleep with as lit up whole room. The light didnt shut of till half way through the next day. So I didnt touch it again.

Really great stay at this hotel. We were very happy with everything. Easy on-site parking. Quick check in. Room was a good size, nice modern bathroom (beds were queen size rather than king size, though). We swam in the pool which was really lovely. We also enjoyed the happy hour cocktails! The walk into town wasn’t too far. Overall a great stay and although we had only booked one night, we would happily have stayed for longer.

What a gem! Kaikora is lovely but i feel like we hit the jackpot with this hotel. Above and beyond service, best shower in all NZ. Gorgeous view. Wished a balcony room was available when we booked.

We had an evacuation just after 6am Guests evacuated standing around outside no staff visible for some time when they arrived we were told to move to the assembly point Which was in the dark with a small sign staff didn’t escort us to the assembly point After the all clear was given we went back to our rooms On checking out later that morning nothing was mentioned at all explanation/apology for any inconvenience or anxiety caused . Communication and demonstration of care sadly lacking
