Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
In order to help others out, we booked this place for a recent trip to New York. The price was good and the pictures made it look great. We never got a reply back for how to check-in and access the building. It left us paying $70 for an Uber from the airport here and standing outside. Additionally, I did not feel safe with my family in this neighborhood. After 2 hours of waiting for a response I decided to call an Uber for another $80 to take us back into NYC where I had to book other hotels, which cost more than what we had already paid. Again, we reached out several times to try and gain access, but never received a reply. Upon returning home, I reached out to this company with no replies. I contacted Travelocity and let them know of the situation. Travelocity had trouble with communication as well, but eventually let us know the hotel had decided to honor their no cancellation policy. As a result, we will receive ZERO money back for a place we never got to stay in due to ZERO communication with this hotel company. We purhcased through a package deal, so I'm not entirely sure what this hotel would have cost. However, I can imagine it would be between $3000 - $4500 based on the number of nights we stayed. Upset doesn't begin to describe the emotions.
