Hotel was beautiful. Wifi didn't work. Staff need to crack down on unruly hockey kids everywhere. Running through the hotel and literally playing hockey the entire length of the hall.

Daily breakfast was good and I loved the idea of the breakfast to go bags in lobby area! But there was this tapping/thumping noise in our room and surrounding rooms that you could hear after water/toilet ran, annoying when trying to sleep.

When I made the reservation through Expedia, I called the hotel. We were staying in in my town. Talk to the person who was on duty. I asked for a first floor room. I was told that would be no problem. She would make a note in the record for me so needless to say when we got there, I could not have one. They were all taken well. I doubt they were all taken because the place was barely occupied, and the young lady at the desk refused to allow my granddaughter who was the one I made the reservation for to get into the room or check in till I got there. I called I talked to him. I told him I was on my way that I had. She had permission from me and they refused well. She refused and then when I got there and asked her about it and told her that I made the reservation for my granddaughter. What was the big deal and it was policy she was just a little snotty about it. I didn’t appreciate it Not what I made my reservation for so it was inconvenient at the time. Besides that the room was ultra tiny you could barely get four or five people in there and it had two beds. It was so tiny smallest hotel room I’ve seen in 20 years. I don’t think I’ll be going back to the Hampton Inn again.

The pool was out of commission for repairs, but we were able to use the pool at the sister property right on the same lot. At 11 o'clock at night, we were woken up by kids running in the hallway, screaming. And when we reported it to the front desk, they stated that it was a hockey tournament that they had a contract with and with their apologies, there was nothing they could do. We stated that was unacceptable , and they had no problem refunding our stay in full. I would reserve rooms with them again because they did the best they could in that situation.
