Pool volleyball

Wonderful place to stay. I took grandkids to the pool to swim for awhile and it had a volleyball net on it. It started out with about 6 people playing and each time another person came in they was invited to play also… ended up I think about 12 (mostly kids, but a few adults) and everyone got to play!!!

The stay at Sawtelle Mountain Resort was very nice. The room was clean had everything needed (except the bathroom needed bathroom towel rods....nowhere to put used towels) The breakfast was really nice had very complete. Used the work out room which was nice. Would have used the pool, but too many kids. But they looked like they were having fun!! Overall the stay there was great and would stay there again!

We were so impressed with the room quality and cleanliness! Our room was spacious and SO clean! The bathroom was very nice and roomy and the tub was the best I've ever used at a hotel. Continental breakfast was above average .We highly recommended Sawtell!

Overall a Decent place to stay

Overall I liked the hotel. We had an issue with the location of our Suite. All the suites are in the basement. 2 of them including ours called 'Big Springs' is located alongside the elevator and is VERY NOISY. The suite on the other side of the elevator had a control room next t their door that made SO MUCH NOISE. Our room had several issues. aside from the noise: the kickplate from the fridge was laying on the floor and dangerous when we walked in, they tried to fix it but couldn't, so I put in on the fridge, the smoke detector was hanging 6 inches from the ceiling from a wire-I have a pic, oh yeah-THERE WAS A HAIR ON THE ROOM LOTION BOTTLE when we checked in -GROSS!!!!, and one of our pots had caked egg in the pan. Breakfast is ok. Lots of fake chunky eggs, undercooked and greasy hashbrowns, subpar cheap bagels, and a pancake machine that takes forever.
