Nice house

Quiet, spacious, nice pool, well equipped.Good management (Joao)Difficult access. No wellcome pack, no instructions about anything like TV options etc. (there are multiple electronic boxes). We disconnected one box on a beside table in a bedroom which turned out to be the Wi-Fi router.Furniture and deco needs updating.The saving grace was Joąo: willing, helpfull, accomodating, nothing too much trouble for him.

A relaxing week

The villa certainly did not disappoint. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space and particularly loved the outdoor areas with the lovely pool, hot tub, wraparound terrace with 2 outdoor tables, a number of sunbeds, umbrellas for shade and BBQ. The games room provided plenty of entertainment too. A very quiet area with a cluster of villas in the vicinity but not so close as to disturb each other. Views across the surrounding farm land were great for sunsets. We arrived at 11pm and John/Joao was there with the keys and to show us the property; check out was equally as efficient. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay. Ken & Fiona have been very responsive too as we had a couple of queries before arrival. A very relaxing and enjoyable week - thank you!

First trip abroad after the global pandemic and Isla Cristina and surrounding areas including Portugal did not disappoint. Villa Rosa Blanca is a super, spacious villa in a beautiful rural location yet only 10 minutes from the beach, shops and restaurants. Fantastic facilities: pool, hot tub, games room, BBQ, large table for entertaining and quiet spaces for shade and relaxation. Wonderful views and sense of privacy as not overlooked. Hosts could not have been more hospitable. Joao - on the ground - very helpful too. Thank you Ken & Fiona.

Fabulous stay in a fabulous villa!

The photos don't do this property justice - its amazing! Lots of space, so quiet on its own hilltop overlooking fields of citrus fruits! Communication with both the owners and Joao from the property management was excellent. Kids loved the huge pool and the games room in the garage area. Centrally located for trips to Isla Cristina, Ayamonte, Lepe and La Antilla where you'll find some really nice traditional Andalucian restaurants. If you prefer your holidays to be as far away as possible from the lager louts on-tour, then this property and location are for you. Its also only 10 mins from the border with Portugal, so a short 40mins car journey to the shopping districts and water parks of The Algarve. A special mention for Joao from the property management company who was so helpful and always at the end of the phone (even at 11.30pm at night!!) to sort out any minor issues we had. The first, but definitely not the last time, we will stay in this beautiful villa in a relaxing part of Spain

Our Family Break

Lovely property great place to chill.we couldn’t get any uk channels although it was on the listing and we did have to buy batteries for the remote and air conditioning controls.Had to scrub the barbecue as it was quite mouldy might be an idea to get the cleaning company to do this, definitely need a car but was walkable to the village which was lovely and there are a couple of well stocked supermarkets.The management company we’re very helpful with directions and gave us lots of advice via a WhatsApp group and any problems were very quickly resolved. Would definitely go back and it is a great base to see both Spain and Portugal

Lovely Villa with everything you need

Arrived at the villa and met Xavi who welcomed us and gave us information on places to go and to eat.The villa has everything you need to make a wonderful stay.Plenty of towels,comfortable beds.Great pool(bit cold),lovely hot tub,perfect in the evening with a glass of Vino.The Villa is in a very quiet area,perfect for just chilling,a drive out to restaurants is needed as they are not close to villa.We had an amazing fun time and the pool table,tennis table and darts are a bonus.Would highly recommend the villa,spacious and very clean.Great communication with Fiona and Ken the owners and Xavi was always on hand by phone if needed.

Hidden Gem

Stayed here in August as a family of 6. We loved the fact that this villa was off the beaten track. Very tranquil. Lovely beaches, plenty of supermarkets all nearby and not a traditional touristy place (which we preferred). Portugal only 10 minutes away. Loved cycling, running, walking to the local village first thing in the morning for a coffee and fresh bread. The villa was perfect. Very clean, spacious and the owners have thought about everything in this villa, and we really could not fault it. Games room was a big sell to us and did not disappoint and the 2 bikes came in very handy. The sun was around the pool from 9.30 in the morning until 9.30 in the evening, and the sunsets were beautiful. Communication was excellent from the owners and English speaking Xavi who looks after the property was amazing. So friendly and nothing too much trouble. Lots of small thoughtful touches throughout this villa really made this special. Thank you Ken and Fiona for sharing your home, we will definitely be back.

A perfect villa

Awesome villa, all the previous reviews for this villa are spot on.We did get a little lost on the way to the villa but Xavi soon got us back on track. The road upto the villa for about 800meters has lots of potholes, we hired a SUV so it wasn’t a problem but a small car you might struggle. Everything else was just perfect Xavi can help with things to do locally but the villa is so nice we didn’t really do too much sightseeing. I am already missing watching the sunset from the hotub it really is fabulous. We are looking forward to coming back soon

Fantastic Villa!

The villa is just amazing - everything we could have hoped for and more! Such lovely space inside and out - even though the weather was so lovely it was great to have the big hot tub in the evening as well as the good sized pool that we made good use of! The outdoor eating area was great and a real bonus having the darts, pool and table tennis which we enjoyed in the evening. The bikes were also brilliant for popping down to La Redondela, the beach (which is really great) and Islantilla. A great welcome by Xavi and a fridge equipped with some welcome food and drink was very lovely too. We had a great stay and hope to come back in the future!

The house is terrific with excellent facilities both inside and out. The pool and hot tub are lovely, extensive games room, excellent range of eqpt in the kitchen for those folk that want to cook and very private with lovely views across the fields and orange groves. Beaches, restaurants and supermarkets all within easy reach. Xavi was great and very helpful with tips for eating etc. We loved every minute of our holiday and can't wait to return. The Gardiners

Stunning rural villa

This is a beautiful very well looked after villa with lovely modern furnishings & interior and stunning outdoor area - everything you could possibly need for a relaxing peaceful holiday ( the owners have literally thought of everything and you are able to use everything that’s there !) Our family enjoyed the games room, hot tub with a view , the pool , bikes large BBQ and outdoor dining area ( picked tomatoes from the garden too ) comfy beds - I could go on . ! One of the best villas we’ve ever stayed at in Spain . The manager Xavi ( English grew up in Spain ) is super nice and helpful showed us round he villas also sent us a what’s app list of local recommendations nothing too much trouble

Wonderful quiet Villa

We had a lovely stay in this amazing Villa with a great pool and hot tub. Fiona and Ken had put out some welcoming goodies which was a lovely touch. The Villa was very clean and had everything we needed and we enjoyed the Bar in the garage with pool table, table tennis and darts. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A week of fun in the sun.

Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 older teens. We stayed here in July 2018. This is a lovely family house in a secluded area with private gardens, pool, hottub and house. The pool is a good size and sitting in the hottub watching the sun set over the trees and fields is just lovely. The house itself is fab. 3 decent sized bedrooms. We stayed in the master bedroom with onsuite and private balcony. The kids had a room each with a choice of beds. The house has a play room which attracted us to it. Good quality table tennis, darts and pooltable. We spent a load of time down there. There are loads of DVDs and board games to watch and play. The power popped out once and the owners had sorted their local contact, who grew up in the UK, to look after us. He was brilliant and very helpful coming over in a Sunday afternoon and sending loads of ideas through on what we could do and where we should go on WhattsApp. When we were there there were a couple of chickens in a pen in the garden which was fantastic as we had fresh eggs every day. This is a family house and the garden was in full flow so we had fresh tomatoes, oranges and herbs. We also used the BBQ all the time. You do need to drive everywhere. So as long as you are happy to do that this house is a gem. Happy to recommend and would go back again. Iain, Shelley and family.

Great villa with everything you need for a relaxing holiday

We are a family of four with 2 teenagers and stayed for 2 weeks in July. The villa is well equipped and really comfortable. We slept very well! The kids.loved the pool and the games room. It is a quiet location with lovely views of fiields from the pool and outdoor dining area. The owners were friendly and helpful and gave recommendation on where to visit. There is a variety of beaches nearby and Ayamonte is a nice town with lots of little shops and restaurants. We bought fish from the fish market there. As it was July all the nearby supermarke ts were open on Sunday. We loved the area and hope to return.

Paradise!

Where do I begin! The pictures certainly do not do justice to this property and the surrounding countryside. The villa is extremely well equipped and ideal for our family of five (3 girls aged 17, 15, 11). The pool was fabulous and the location feels a million miles from civilization, despite being only 10-15 minutes from all the necessary amenities. Who would have thought a hot tub in this climate would be so relaxing! Games room was an added bonus in the evenings and escape the mid-day heat with pool table, darts and table tennis along with the bar and various other board games. Isla Cristina and Islantilla well worth a visit. Ideal location to visit Sevilla (1 hour) although temps did reach 46 when we were there! and the Algarve, lovely 3 hour boat trip to see the caves, swimming in the sea; water park of course and a wander around the towns of Tavira and Olhao. Chris and Emma who look after the villa were very helpful and provided a number of must places to visit. Fresh chilli, onions, peppers, aubergine from the garden were an added bonus, and is certainly a place for nature lovers....storks are absolutely fascinating and circle every afternoon at 5.00 before settling down for the night...not forgetting the lizards. Our favourite villa to date by far...cannot find fault at all. Thank you Ken and Fiona for allowing us to share your little piece of paradise.

5* A wonderfully equipped very comfortable villa, peaceful private secure location - we loved it!

August 2017 - We were 2 adults and four teenagers staying for 2 weeks before travelling to hotels in Córdoba, Vejer, and Seville (we flew home from Seville). All the reviews for this villa are correct - it's perfect! Not sure enough has been said though about: the gardens, there is a wide range of colourful flowers and palms which have been lovingly planted and cared for and which we enjoyed having around us; if you have the energy you can jog to the beach via the town from the villa (along the track outside, then stay on the cycle path alongside the non busy road, the return journey is 10k/6 miles exactly! I didn't rush and walked along the beach and it took an hour); the teenagers appreciated the huge tv, surround sound and large selection of DVDs. The adults were up and out at 8am by the pool with a cup of tea reading a book and watching the sun rise (the sun shines on the pool at 8.20am and never leaves until it sets at 9.20pm - very relaxing and beautiful to watch. The English speaking Villa managers Chris and Emma are fantastic and take good care of you, the villa/pool and can be contacted 24/7 if required. Go visit Real in Portugal just over the bridge or take ferry from Ayamonte. 15 minutes away lots of restaurants. Os Arcos was one that we liked, but remember Portugal is an hour behind Spanish time. We arrived thinking it was 8pm to find it was 7pm! Easy parking, nice marina walk with pop up shops etc. The supermarket in Ayamonte was very good (opened at 9) and there is a good sports shop next to it should you like me you forget to pack your trunks! Small children will love the local beaches and the water park in Cartaya. Our teenagers loved the poolside jacuzzi and indoor games area. Lookout for the wide selection of birds that fly past and include groups of storks! Thank you Ken and Fiona for sharing your wonderful home with us. Great property that has been well maintained with all facilities.

Villa well secluded and within easy reach (by car) off many villages and resorts with fantastic beaches and good cheap food. Many restaurants to choose from including set 3 course menu for 8euros!!! Very little English spoken so ordering was fun (when you don't speak Spanish !) Thoroughly recommend the villa and area. Our party was 5 x 65plus.

Villa Rosa Blanca was just perfect for our family holiday, it is clean, modern and very well maintained, with all mod cons and comforts of home and more - thank you for the welcome pack, that was very much unexpected and appreciated. If you are looking for a holiday away from the normal hustle & bustle of the Spanish Costa's, but are happy to drive 10/15 minutes to nice beaches and restaurants, this could be the place for you. The pool and surrounding areas are fantastic, as is the games room and bar, The selection of board games and DVDs in the villa was an unexpected bonus. Ken & Fiona were easy to deal with and provided good information and support to any questions we had - thanks. We visited Seville and other beach towns locally, we also went into Portugal and visited Vilamoura and Portimao, locally we really liked Isla Canella marina area. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family looking for an away from it all type of holiday, we are already talking about booking the villa again!

Beautiful well equipped villa in peaceful rural location

The well appointed villa is located in a peaceful and tranquil location surrounded by farmlands. Although the last part of the journey is up an unmade dusty road the directions given by the owners are easy to follow and even recognised by sat nav. One of the charms for us was the fact that is is "a bit out of the way" with only a couple of other villas as neighbours but all within large private grounds guaranteeing privacy and tranquility. If you like hustle and bustle and restaurants and bars then this is not for you as the nearest bars are about a 10 to 15 minute drive. But if you are looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday as we were then this villa is ideal. One of the many things we loved about the villa is that it is located on a high point of land overlooking farmlands and orange groves. From the beautifully appointed swimming pool deck and front terrace gives the impression of being in a castle overlooking the land. In fact from the private balcony terrace off of the main bedroom you really do feel like being up in a tower! The pool and hot tub are first class and well provided with sun loungers and large parasol for shade. We had intended doing a bit more touring around a a few more days at the beach at Redondela ( 15 mins drive). But instead we found ourselves lounging by the pool all day and enjoying the view and the tranquility. Several times a day flocks of storks swoop over the property and the nearby fields playing in the thermals and we were also treated to the distant tinkling of goat bells from the nearby farm as the farmer moved his herd in the morning and evening. My wife and I were accompanied by our "kiddult" son and a couple of friends for part of the time and as well as the pool they thoroughly enjoyed the "Man-Cave" garage equipped with pool table, dart board, table tennis and bar area! A great place to get out of the sun for a few hours.

Nos alojamos en esta magnífica casa durante nuestras vacaciones, y estuvimos fenomenal. Está aislada, con algunas viviendas alrededor, en un pinar muy bonito, pero muy cerca de la playa. Se necesita coche para los desplazamientos, pero la tranquilidad y la calidad de la vivienda son extraordinarios. Los propietarios atentos y muy amables, y la persona que atiende en la llegada también. Volveremos sin duda.
