Beautiful property and house. A unique experience to stay at a working fishing house. All staff were over the top nice. The area is beautiful and had a lot of fun discovering Floridas nature coast! Food truck was delicious and the live entertainment on the weekends was a definite bonus!

The property was just as described and very spacious. We were tired of tourist traps and wanted nature/family time. Upon arrival I met one of the owners and she gave us 2 huge pans of food from the crawfish boil they had the day before. We fished at the tailwaters of Lake Rousseau, chartered a fishing boat and went to the Homosassa spring and wildlife area. The manatees had already traveled out into the gulf, so we only saw the 3 residents at Homosassa. We fished on their dock almost every evening. It was very peaceful and you could see a million stars. We caught catfish and a few gar. We also spotted a gator one night. Sometimes there are people staying on the boats, but they are not bothersome. You have to be careful because you are fishing between their boats. I kayaked by myself one evening and saw Osprey and an eagle. The food truck was amazing and so convenient. It felt secluded, but you could get to crystal springs within 20 minutes. If you are looking for a super quiet property, this is not for you. It is a bustling business and everyone that we ran across was friendly. It was never an issue for us. We cooked our own fish, but the shop had a lot of fresh variety and some souvenirs. My son got the smoked fish dip and loved it. We would recommend Mad Dog Charters. Bradley was experiencing and knew where to go. We only caught a few keepers, but we still had a great time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this River House. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Everything was perfect, the house had everything and beyond that you need the hosts were so generous and kind and nice. If you love seafood, that's the place to be, they have a seafood market right next door you can go every day if you like and get fresh seafood.And it was so cool to watch the fishing boats come in and the fish come off of the boats.You can get a fish right off the boat and take it over to the fish market they'll fillet and clean it for you. I highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed staying at the river house and learning about the fishing business from the very friendly hosts. Highly recommend paddle boarding Rainbow River which is about 30 minutes from Inglis. The river is so clear like an aquarium. SUPing in Crystal river to 3 sisters spring is also great for seeing manatees.

We were very impressed with this place, it is even better than the pictures look (they don’t do it justice). We really enjoyed eating at the food truck and all of the owners/workers next door were very kind. I would 10/10 recommend this for a peaceful fun trip!

Great house, good for kids, business very close

This place is in the midst of a pretty busy seafood business which is on the river. That was sort of interesting. We heard fork trucks a lot. The water is behind the business. Owners were very nice. Was expecting something different.

Unique and relaxing visit!

Glen and Donna were wonderful hosts! They were informative about the area and their property had everything we needed. The fresh seafood truck and store just steps outside the front door was amazing. Glen even set our 12yr old son up with rod, reel with bait so that he could fish off the dock! The house was super clean and the pool table inside and ping pong table on the screened in porch kept all of us busy when a rainstorm canceled an outing we had planned. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was awesome. They had everything needed to cook family meals including a ton of spices.It's a short drive to Crystal River and Three Sister's Spring where you can see the manatees. We look forward to going back some day!
