Harbourside cottage on the Quay in Ilfracombe with hot tub

Our cottage is in a fabulous harbour location right on the Quay. We overlook the harbour beach and are a short flat walk to Tunnels beach and wedding venue. We have a few surprises behind our yellow door. The rear courtyard hides a secret sunny garden ,perfect for Alfresco dining and watching the sunset. All of our three bedrooms have a view of the water, either harbour or the Bristol Channel and we have room for boards and all your wet gear; as well as room to store bikes. Dogs are welcome.

The Quay is an exciting place to be. The area around the Quayside is very flat and from our house you are able to reach the many bars ,restaurants and shops easily on foot. You can enjoy fresh seafood and dine Harbourside or enjoy traditional fish and chips and speciality ice cream. The Quay is packed with things to do from a visit to Damien Hirsts Verity statue or a boat trip to see the seals . You can charter a boat to go fishing or take a fast rib ride out across the bay. We are lucky to have both a Michelin starred and a Michelin rated restaurant just around the corner.

Getting around town is best on foot. There is a bus to the surfing beaches that runs every 30 mins and takes surf boards and dogs. The South West coast path is nearby

Outstanding Stay

Property is simply stunning with beautiful views over The Quay. The hot tub in the courtyard was a welcome addition particularly as the weather was so lovely. The host is lovely and very accommodating - could not fault anything really. We can't wait to be able to book again.

Fantastic!!

We are fortunate to have stayed at many locations and I must say this has been one of the best. The property is perfectly located for everything that you could want to do. We had several beach trips/walks and then travelled briefly by car to nearby attractions/ landmarks that we wanted to visit. Just gutted we only stayed 4 days and hadn't booked for longer. The property was great, having all your home comforts, plus the newly fitted Hot-Tub as a bonus. Thank you, Helen, for a wonderful break. we'll definitively be back.
