Einst luxuriöse Anlage, die leider ihre beste Zeit hinter sich hat - schade. Topaz Suite war geschlossen wie fast alle Hotels der riesigen Golden-5-Anlage, so dass ich ins Hotel Emerald umquartiert wurde, das ebenfalls zum Golden-5-Komplex gehört. Doch auch dieses war fast leer, angeblich weil Touristen aus Russland seit einer ungeklärten Flugzeugkatastrophe 2015 fast vollständig ausbleiben. Der Strand war ebenfalls vereinsamt, nur ein Restaurant und der kleinere der beiden Aqua-Parks waren geöffnet. Die Animateure gaben sich größte Mühe die wenigen Gäste bei Laune zu halten, auch das übrige Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Die ersten 10 Tage gab es im Hotel kein warmes Wasser, auch das kalte blieb manchmal aus. Palmen und Grünanlagen lechzten ebenfalls nach Wasser. In den Ecken des kleinen vereinsamten Jachthafens sammelte sich der Müll. Dafür war der Aufenthalt insgesamt günstig.

Hotellet er lukket! Golden 5 City, som inkluderer hotellerne Sapphire, Topaz, Emirates, Diamond, Club og det største hotel Golden 5 Paradise, er en spøgelsesby. Kun tre af disse hoteller er fortsat åbne, men alle faciliteter er lukkede og det meste ligger i ruiner. De sælger alle hotellerne med flotte billeder, som er direkte misvisende ift hvad de enkelte hoteller kan byde på, og de er meget forældede. Kan kun anbefale at finde andre hoteller. Få bekræftet hotellernes tilstand - området er generelt hårdt ramt af faldende turisme.

Topaz suites/ Hurghada
Vi tog en sista minuten resa och bokade hotell genom hotels.com. Vi bliv mycket nöjda. Innanför området fanns allt man kunde begära- från rum -svit med två rum och bad. Allt var mycket rent och bra underhållet. All incluise mat var ok flera plus var att man kunde boka olika alacarte restauranger.. Fint pool område och buss ner till havet, gick en gång i halv timmen. Man kunde utnyttja de andra fyra hotellen som låg bredvid och ingick i hotell kedjan. Vi är mycket nöjda och kommer att åka dit igen. Ann& lelle .
