I would love to give the hotel a 5 star review as pretty much everything was excellent. The service, staff, cleanliness, room, food and drink were excellent. The staff went above and beyond catering for us with early check ins and extra rooms to get ready in so we could be on time for the wedding. The hotel and rooms were spacious, well equipped and spotless. Breakfast was delicious and again staff friendly, welcoming and heplful. Unfortunately the only thing that looses marks and made it a difficult and uncomfortable stay was the heat in the room. It was insanely warm. The heat wasnt coming from a radiator, both windows were open and we had the fan on but the temperature inside the room was unbearable. Apparently it comes from the pipes underneath the rooms so nothing can be done about it but as a family of 4 we got very little sleep. If was impossible to get comfy and relax. It was sweltering and for this and this reason only i wouldnt return. You just cant sleep. I will say my sisters family had a room on the ground floor and didnt have this problem so if you can request ground floor rooms and not 2nd floor and certainly not 3rd floor!

Shouldnt charge for parking

Shouldn't charge car parking for hotel guests, just a way to profiteer. Not a city centre hotel so reason for it as their are no issues locally with lack of parking.

We stayed one night, arrived on time for check in. Was a little confused how to check in with the self check in but a member of staff came to help and was pleasant. Parking payment was straight forward, but wasnt happy we had to pay for parking should be complementary. Our room was very basic and had a slight musty smell. Bed comfort was was ok but was very warm in the room, had to open windows and there was a fan but wasnt many plugs we could plug it into to bring it closer to us. Because of this sleep was abit uncomfortable. The the bathrrom was terribly to which ive attached pictures(link not lettingme add pictures). The towel rail was loose, and mould and condition wasnt great. Its felt like a budget room for which the price did not reflect even after discount.

Cedar Court Hotel Huddersrield

Nice place for a short stay. Staff were great. My Sisters check in took along time, well past 3pm. Still not checked in by tea time. Only down side was no electrical power points nxt to bed. I had to run extension cables which could of caused an accident getting up in the middle of the night.

Great stay

We have stayed on many occasions and have always been greeted by polite staff and an easy check in. Every time we stayed the rooms and bathrooms were very clean apart from once where the bathroom smelt of weed. I will be returning.
