It’s a home like place. The room we stayed is a spacious one with the window wall face the grand pacific directly. It’s the best choice if you’re in Hua Lian for both outdoor and indoor. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful, too. Through the light hearted chatting we learned so much about the local people and anything about sightseeing or how to get around… it’s super fun to I would say of the stay at View Ocean. It’s an eye opening experience for me and my 16 yr old daughter.

Very disappointing. The entire place is full of clutter which immediately makes it feel super untidy and not taken care of. The pictures on Expedia and google do not give any justice, you would expect a cute, well maintained boutique hotel / guest house, instead you find a dirty, very run down building. The food was terrible (and that has nothing to do do with me being a foreigner as our Taiwanese friend is of the same opinion) and again, all public areas were very uninviting due to clutter everywhere. Staff hardly speaks English too. We paid almost 300 USD for 2 rooms for 1 night which is completely overpriced considering what is offered for this amount of money. Skip this place and go somewhere else.

One of the best stays I've had anywhere! The room was absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful ocean view. The hotel is literally less than a block from the Hualian Night Market which is a must-try for any visitor. The family that runs the place is lovely. They had great recommendations (from restaurants to massage) and even helped fix my backpack that broke from hiking Taroko. The garden is also incredible with hundreds of plants the owners tend to everyday. Just beyond the garden the seawall where you can walk and bike. They serve a great home cooked breakfast each morning including a great selection of fresh and local fruits.

Pro: People and location. The staff were excellent at View Ocean! They are a warm and kind family and made us feel very welcome. The location is excellent, ocean view is just gorgeous especially in the early mornings and you are 30 seconds from the night market. We also enjoyed the all the ceramic tchotchkes around the garden and the hotel itself. I found the bed to be very clean and comfortable as well. Cons: The facilities are

飯店就在東大門夜市旁邊，離火車站和花蓮機場都很接近。休息的時候可以坐在露台，晚上也能聽着海浪聲睡覺。房東也超級友善，可以讓我們寄放一下行李，回來之後也讓我們在餐廳位置休息一下再去機場

民宿雙人床是加大的，很軟很好睡，房間內風景很棒，浴室有浴缸，浴缸大小適中可以容納兩個人，浴缸前有落地窗可以看到海景，唯一缺點是浴室內的窗簾有一點髒
