Worst Super 8 ever! Woke up the first morning to find the shower did not work. Walked to the front desk (no phone in room) to notify them of the plumbing problem. I expected an immediate offer to switch rooms. Nope. So I asked if there were any other rooms available. The desk clerk said yes, but that she could not move us to an acceptable room. We were forced to move hotels because of the lack of working plumbing . THEY CHARGED US FOR THE ENTIRE STAY EVEN THOUGH WE LEFT EARLY BECAUSE OF DEFECTIVE PLUMBING IN THE ROOM! When we asked for a refund they lied, and said that Expedia should refund us. We contacted Expedia and they tried to get us a refund. Expedia called the manager on our behalf, and was treated rudely by Mike, the manager. Don't stay here! There rooms don't have working plumbing! Staff is Rude!

Newly remodeled. Super soft sheets and comfortable bed. I like having the sink on the outside of the toilet and shower so it doesn’t fog up the mirror and others can still use it while someone is taking a shower. Great Mexican restaurant within walking distance. Away from downtown just enough so it’s not too crowded and you feel safe. Excellent price!!! Only complaint would be the air conditioning fan is loud.

The check in was friendly and easy. The bed and bathroom were clean. However the carpeting was old and although vaccuumed there was build up of dirt in the corners. The air conditioning fan was very loud which woke me up several times during the night. You can hear the shower water running in the room next door. But the water pressure very good. Yogurt, bread, waffles and cereal options for breakfast. Jalapeño Grill next door was delicious.

Small Town

The motel is date but clean. The room is small but was sufficient for an over night stay. The bed was not the best but still comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was adequate.

I didn't stay at the property. I accidentally made a reservation for the wrong place. I called the property 5 minutes after making the reservation and was told they could not cancel it for me. They were not authorized to do so and I needed to call back on Monday to speak to a manager. While I called back on Monday and someone answered the phone, I explained the situation to them again and the man tells me he is the only one that works there + I don't know how I need to change the part where the last couple sentences. But anyway I want to write a review. Everybody will know of my problems

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Didn't try the breakfast so I have no comment on that. The only negatives were that boyh ice makers were out of order and a small dog across the hall from me barked and woke me up at 6am. I would stay there again

Gone down hill!

I stayed at this Super 8 in Hot Springs, SD 2 years ago and it was nice. It has really gone down hill. I stayed there for 3 nights. The male employee looks like an aged out skateboarder. He was wearing a dirty hoodie that was frayed badly. He was gruff with me at check in and was so rude to me an hour before cbeck out, trying to rush me out so they could clean. The woman employee was dressed like a professional & was very pleasant & helpful. The room was not cleaned well. I found grape stems on the floor & it looked like the carpet was only vacuumed in the middle and not along the wall. The blanket and bedspread smelled like they hadn't been washed for a long time. The curtains had holes. I also stayed at a Days Inn in Sturgis for 2 days on this trip and for the same cost it was completely different. It was clean and the employees were super polite & welcoming. I would not recommend the Super 8 in Hot Springs, SD.

Bedding was absolutely terrible, 1 sheet and 1 super itchy & very old and thin throw blanket. The bathroom was super tiny and you could barely fit inside bathroom to shut the door.
