Home away from home! Everything you need plus a LAKE! Our home has a relaxing cabin feel. New flooring, kitchen cabinets and countertops! New washer and dryer! Enjoy barbequing on the deck and eating around the fire pit. Surrounded by trees, this quiet neighborhood will wash away the stress of busy city living immediately!
What's nearby:
Lake Cushman Private Park is a quick 60 second walk. This private park (to which guests will be given a visitor pass) has a large playground, swimming hole, basketball court and a lovely gazebo with barbeque. You can launch your canoes and kayaks from this spot! Clean showers and bathrooms are at the park. The Lake Cushman Golf Course provides nine holes and a practice green. Disc golf is located near the golf course. Hiking trails everywhere! Please see our cabin binder for more information on nearby hikes and other fun things to do in the area.
Things to know:
Dog Friendly: we LOVE dogs and love traveling with them. So bring your well behaved furry friends. Just keep the barking down to a minimum for our neighbors!
Full kitchen: stocked with everything you need to cook for your family, including spice rack, oil and a coffee pot. (groceries not included, lol)
Washer/Dryer and laundry soap
Summer guests should note that this home does have air conditioning. There is a nice cross breeze with front and back doors open as well, and a fan provided.

Board games, puzzles and books provided.
If you forget your beach towels you are welcome to use ours, we just ask that you wash and dry them before you leave.
A visitor pass is provided and required on your vehicle while visiting the Lake Cushman Private Park or the boat launch.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you would like to add more dogs the $25 nightly fee will apply for each additional dog.
Parking Notes: There is parking for three vehicles in the driveway. Or if you have a boat 1 or 2 cars and a boat should fit easily. Please do not park on the street.
Boat access: Head towards the park and make a left instead of going all the way to the park and you will find a very nice boat launch. Just make sure you have that visitor pass on your car. Please note that guests are required to complete the rental agreement attached, along with the 2 ID items listed on page 3 of the agreement within 24 hours of booking.

Cushman beauty

This is the second time I stayed at this property and the second time I really didn’t wanna leave. It’s just a warm family friendly place very dog friendly and if your hiker there are so many hikes around it was unfortunate that we didn’t get the late summer days that we were hoping for, but we still enjoyed ourselves just love this place.

Peaceful woodland setting on Lake Cushman

Great place for exploring Lake Cushman and Olympic area. The Staircase Rapids trail is particularly wonderful, and there are loads of places to get to the water for swimming etc.

Family Visit

This was a second location to support a family gathering. The place was clean, comfortable with lots of homey touches not normally present in a rental. While not as warm and sunny as we hoped for we were able to climb Mt Ellinor, went whale watching, and explored Port Townsend and Sequim. It.was a lot of fun.

Relaxing at the Lake!

This house was the perfect family vacation spot! Clean, comfortable, and cozy, with all of the amenities you could wish for - and right next to beautiful Lake Cushman! We swam, picnicked, played games, cooked, explored, and just relaxed and enjoyed the scenery, the comfortable beds, and being together. Highly recommended! Our dog loved it too.

Best stay!

This property has everything you could want or need! The barbecue and flattop grill made it easy to step away from the cozy a/c during the heat. This home is spacious and well stocked with cookware. The property manager was on top of making it super easy to access the property and let us know when there was something to beware of. Overall super smooth stay and loved this home and it is very close to the lake! Plan on coming back next summer!

Birthday at the Lake

Super sweet get away place with wonderful amenities. We enjoyed every moment there and only wish our work conflicts didn’t delay our arrival. The short walk to the lake and park was great and we did it multiple times with our youngest son. The community & staff was welcoming and we felt right at home!

Amazing 4th of July!!!

Words cannot express how pleased we were with our stay! The property was gorgeous and impressively stocked. Sitting on the deck, surrounded by nature while doing homework was the best! Fabulous

We fell in love with this place immediately it is a very comfortable home, and it was evident that the owners of the property took pride in it. I just can’t even say enough. We went with three grandchildren and a dog, and it was just wonderful a short walk to the beach and the scenery and everything.were just wonderful It felt like you were sort of camping, but in a modern home. I can’t wait to go back. One note..❤️❤️❤️

Very nice area, let our teenagers run around without worry. They played by lake a lot. Home is very nice, with everything you can need, you bring your food, everything there to prepare it. Really peaceful. Deer walking around the yard and neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Great Location!

This is a great option for those looking for a pet and family friendly cottage within walking distance to the Lake Cushman Community beach park. The cottage has a fantastic kitchen with everything you need. It includes a noce propane grill and, this was my favorite, a large Blackstone propane griddle right on the front porch! The cottage has two full bathrooms, which is rare to find in vacation rentals in this area. There is also a/c, a fireplace, washer/dryer, and a very nice living room setup with plenty of games and puzzles. The cottage does have solid wifi, streaming sticks and an xbox 360 with a few games the kids enjoyed. Overall this is the most outfitted and well maintained cottage I’ve stayed at of several in the Lake Cushman Community.

Lake Cushman stay

Over all a good trip, cottage in a pleasant area. Lake clean, beach area beautifully kept. Master bed extremely high, had difficulty getting on and off, persons with mobility issues might struggle ! Place was a little dark, perhaps reading lights needed. Nice little gift, toys and bed for our dog. Extremely well equipped kitchen apart from strainer for rice. Noticed the pans were scratched, perhaps wooden spoons and spatula could be provided, cooking tools were all metal. Water pressure was excellent as was water quality. Didn’t enjoy the security cameras, just a privacy thing ! Major point, being non North American, instructions needed for the heating system, there were a couple of chilly mornings and evenings, we didn’t have a clue how the system worked. Place was totally fine for a late availability week away.

Lake cushman

This was supposed to be a vacation with my grandson unfortunately he got injured so I went with my sister. The house is very well stocked with Necessities you may need for cooking such as spices and utensils. I felt the location was closer to three blocks away then a 60 second walk to the lake but not really a big problem. Overall it was a good experience.

Lake vacation for a friends wedding

My husband, mom, dad, and dog and I stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed every moment. The house was stocked with everything we needed or may have forgotten. Tissues? No problem. Shampoo? No problem. Extra beach towels? There! We enjoyed using the bbq to try our hand at cooking oysters one night and loved the new experience. The weather is perfect, the night sky is so clear, and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Loved our stay!

Great Lake Cushman House

My wife and I stayed here for a week. The place was clean and fully furnished and very comfortable (although we did have a little trouble getting the wall mounted a/c heat pump to work--but, to be honest--we never called the owner to ask her what we were doing wrong!) And speaking of the owner, she was MORE than willing to make sure we were happy and satisfied. When we arrived, we realized the microwave door wasn't closing properly, so we couldn't use it. We placed a call to the owner, and she was out IMMEDIATELY with a new one. The house was a little darker than we would have wanted, a result of its orientation in relation to the sun, but it was extremely well lit--with lights all over the place on the inside. The furniture was also of high quality and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Lake Cushman Property

The house is the best stocked VBRO I have ever stayed in, including a rack of spices, oils, tin foil, plastic bags, etc. It also has several options for entertainment, such as gas fireplaces, barbeque, firepit, etc. Also tons of games. Beds were comfortable. Although neighbors were close, the house felt private due to trees surrounding the property. Internet was good, which was important as I was working. The house is a close walk to the lake. Beautiful area. The only downside was that there were a lot of cameras around the outside. Not sure if they were functional but it made us feel uncomfortable.
