Unspoiled, quiet, safe, and as family beach experiences were in bygone years with 26 Miles of Barrier Island white sand beach, yet with modern amenities and close access to the cities of Wilmington, Hampstead and Jacksonville. Restaurants and shopping are in walking distance near by and also in neighboring beach towns of Surf City and North Topsail.

This home is well maintained and with 180 degree view of ocean, all bedrooms are oceanfront as well as main living area. View of Jolly Roger pier, sound/Inter-coastal Water Way view from the front deck/windows. Covered and uncovered decks and parking for 4 vehicles. Lovely and casual beach decor throughout.

Lots and homes in the area are well spaced and non-cramped and beach are not overly crowded even on summer holiday weeks!

This home was so clean and beautifully decorated. Everything worked, even the small things like night lights, oven light, outdoor hoses, etc. Everything in the home was in great shape (bedding, kitchen supplies, bathrooms). While there, the hot water heater went out. The owner was right on it and before we knew it, a brand new hot water heater was installed. This was the best home we have stayed in at Topsail Island.

Great Family Beach Vacation

This is our second stay at Stress Free by the Sea. It is a great house in a great location. Amazing deck with great furniture and sunrise views. House is well stocked for a magical beach vacation. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, ice cream and mini-golf! We plan to come back next year!

Wonderful spot with kind owners.

There isn’t a better spot to be on the island! Easy walk to the town of topsail for good food and Putt putt. Beautiful views and wonderful cottage. Will definitely return.

Best view of the sunrise over the ocean!

What a fabulous home & location. Walking distance to the pier (take $2 for pier admission) .3 mile to arcade, putt putt, pickleball courts, grocery store & gift shops. Must go to Lewis fish market .3 mile away. We rented fat tire bikes to ride the coast line & had a blast. You will be outfitted for the beach with beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards. Take your own LINENS/Towels, or have them delivered through sweet dreams linen service, they are not provided! The kitchen is well stocked with equipment, no spices or coffee provided. Highly recommend this home!

Amazing Family Trip

Mike and his family have a wonderful property. My family has been coming to Topsail for 35 years and this is by far our favorite property we stayed at - and we’ve stayed at roughly 20 different properties through the years. The deck is beautiful and easily navigated. The deck furniture is in great condition, comfortable and sturdy. The outside shower was perfection and so well thought out. The kitchen is well stocked and the ability to easily walk to downtown was amazing. I will definitely be staying here again. Everything was clean and comfortable and I loved the reverse floor plan. Mike was also very responsive. Thank you so much for an amazing time.

Perfect Place, Perfect Location, Perfect Time of Year

This is a fantastic place to gather with friends and family JUST after the Summer high season. There was PLENTY of room for seven of us to enjoy the living room, kitchen, dining room AND the multiple decks w/chairs and loungers. The surrounding area was super-quiet, with the occasional jogger and bike riders. I KNOW it's a vastly different scene sitting the Summer, as I've been there at that time. During THIS time if the year the beach was as not crowded at all, and having the direct access from the rental is SUCH a treat. The sunrise views from the deck were just exquisite. Again, the location is simply perfect, and so was the time spent with family and dear friends.

Linens and towels

The property was great. Well stocked kitchen. The house was just great. But when we arrived in the late evening there were no sheets on the beds or towels available. Thankfully after calling the owner he gave us a code to open a closet with those items. A roof over the deck was wonderful to keep the direct sun off and make it cooler.

Great House in Topsail Beach

We come to Topsail each summer and this is the best house we've rented yet. The proximity to the town makes walking for Cora's or Lewis tacos a breeze, and when we need to go back across the bridge for something else it isn't an inconvenience. The covered decks make for great early morning and evening relaxation to the sounds of the waves.

Thanksgiving Getaway

We loved our stay at Stress Free By The Sea. We’ve made it a tradition over the last few year to meet my parents (from Ohio) in Topsail to spend time together over the holiday. Although the weather wasn’t the best, being right on the beach was such a lovely treat. The deck space is absolutely gorgeous and was perfect for star-gazing at night and catching sunsets in the morning. We even saw a large pod of dolphins the morning that we left. The quaint town of Topsail is very walkable, complete with cute little shops and a few restaurants. We were able to walk to the corner to watch the Topsail Christmas Parade, which was way more fun than we expected! The house itself was perfect for our family. We loved that ALL of our rooms were oceanfront (the kids were especially psyched). The kitchen had plenty of space for us to cook an entire Thanksgiving meal, and the round dining table was amazing for all the games we played. Would definitely recommend Stress Free By The Sea & would love to return during warmer weather to enjoy it to its fullest!

Amazing property!

We thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Stress free by the sea’ property! Mike was responsive to all my questions prior to and during our stay. The thermostat went out on the main floor, but was fixed the next day (we understand things happen!) & it did not affect our stay one bit. I wish some linens (towels) were provided to avoid the overhaul/extra cost, but it was clear linens would not be provided from the description. Beautiful house, access to the beach and porches!

Family Beach Trip to Topsail

The house and the location were wonderful. We loved the house decor, easy access to the town of Topsail and most of all the oceanfront access and view. The owner was great, communication was seamless. Mother Nature did deliver a tropical storm, which caused us to loose a beach day, but will make an interesting story to share as part of our 2023 experience!

Amazing beach house

Our stay started off a bit rough as the downstairs HVAC went out the first day we were there (it was quite hot outside and in), but luckily it wasn’t major, and Mike was able to get it repaired quickly so it didn’t ruin our trip. During the ordeal he was responsive and reassured us he would get it taken care of. After that, the stay was incredible. All bedrooms have the beach so we all had great views and surf sounds in our rooms. The new deck is fantastic and we spent a majority out there. There is nothing like waking up early and sitting on the deck or easily stepping out onto the beach to watch the sunrise over the pier which is a short distance away. The beach is probably the best beach I’ve ever been to. The surf/beach is perfect for kids. The design of the house is ideal for families. Everyone has there own space but there is a ton of group space too. I really enjoyed the new benches around the kitchen table. Very easy to slide in and out for eating and games. The wifi and Roku boxes everywhere are great for other entertainment. If you want a relaxing stay that is totally focused on beach and family time, this is it.

Our first trip to Topsail Island was enhanced by the accommodations of Stress Free by the Sea. Everything was as advertised and then some. The pictures don’t do the home justice. The main living area is more spacious than it appears. The lower level is perfect for young families. And the deck is amazing. Literally steps from the beach. You can tell a lot of thought and effort was put in when it was built. The convenience of the deck shower/hose was invaluable. The kitchen has everything you need. The washer/dryer ran like a dream. The washer pressure was excellent. The water heater stayed hot for everyone’s showers post-beach. The only thing I would had like to had would be a ceiling fan in the bunk room for the kids. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, perfect for our young family. Lifelong memories were made. We will definitely come back. Thank you!

Great ocean getaway!

One of the best beach vacations we've ever had. Traveled with friends of ours who have been vacationing with us for over 20 years. Our adult children joined us. Room enough for everyone to have privacy, amazing location, and an incredible beach. The house has everything you need. The beach never felt crowded. Great weather every day.
