This is the 2nd time we stayed at this awesome cottage over New Year's holiday and it was stupendous again! This time, we thoroughly enjoyed the updated kitchen - plenty of counter space, cabinet space, and it was fully stocked with essentials. King bed in the MBR facing water with great ocean views and sounds of the waves all day and night! Big dining space facing the water allowed meals to be enjoyed overlooking serenity. Plenty of clean towels and laundry is inside cottage so no need to travel outside to run. Living room is cozy with plenty of seating and with views of the water. The outside deck seating is plentiful too, up high to view water and watch the playful dolphins! Easy access to beach, stairs go right to the sand making walks with our pup easy and convenient. Cottage was clean, smelled great, and check-in and check-out was super smooth - host was extremely welcoming and accommodating asking if all was good (it was!). We can't wait to come back and stay here again!

Sunrises directly from your bed! Ok so we did really go outside but we didn’t have to and that was excellent! We loved our stay! The place is in a great location and you can see through out the investment to make the home next level. I found the shower to be nice and tall with strong pressure which is good. I always look for cleanliness as a key character and I was not disappointed here. I definitely see a return visit.

This was our second stay at Bluesalt and just as enjoyable. We returned for the location, stunning views, and excellent amenities. Michele takes care of everything. No need to worry about making beds, bringing supplies, it's all here. Fabulous property, beach charm, with a modern touch. Also close to all the activities at Surf City.

Perfect beach location!

This has been one of the best properties we have stayed at as a family! Michele has thought of everything to make your stay a home away from home. I was thrilled to see the amount of bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths at the home. Typically, I am doing laundry every night to ensure that we have clean towels for showers the next day. She also supplies lots of beach towels. She has made the check-out process so simple, which we very much appreciated. The property is close to everything. It was a lovely stay overall!

Front row seat to dolphin watch!

My family had an amazing stay at this beachfront house that was a perfect mix of cozy and modern. We watched dolphins from the large inside windows and the spacious deck. We made tasty meals in the well stocked kitchen and had deep conversations in the spacious living room. This house has everything you need to feel right at home.

Fantastic beach house, location, and amenities

If you're expecting an average stay at the beach with a typical rental property, think again. Michele's home is positioned right on the dunes for amazing views and has everything you need for an "at-home" experience. The house is beautifully styled with a sparkling kitchen, Bosch appliances, and stylish decor. Unlike your average rental, the beds are made on arrival, towels are neatly folded ready for use, no need to purchase toilet paper, kitchen roll, herbs and spices, soap, shampoo, or conditioner - it's all provided. There are also hair appliances, beach towels, and so much more. Michele was a responsive host and we couldn't have asked for a more effortless experience. You can tell she really cares about her home and guest experience. Enjoy the views of the shore, dolphins, shrimp boats, and fishermen. Perfect week at the beach. Thank you Michele.

Wonderful Place To Stay!

Loved our stay! We are a family of four and the house was perfect and comfortable for all of us. The location was perfect! It’s close to everything and there is nothing better than waking up to the beach and ocean everyday. We were all sad to leave and are already planning to come back. The house is clean and beautiful. Perfection!

There are sooooooo many wonderful things to say about Blue Salt Bungalow & the owner, Michele......I truly enjoyed my communication with Michele. She was attentive, but not at all invasive. Friendly, informative, accommodating, and kind. The "Welcome Packet" she sends is top notch & very professional. I especially love that she included her own recommendations on places to dine! I much prefer talking with the property owner than a management company, so Michele was definitely a plus! The beach house itself was very clean when we arrived. The King & Queen beds are very comfortable. We didn't need or try the bunk beds. The house was very well-stocked with everything you could possibly need (a coffee maker is a MUST, so thank you)!The house is literally ON the beach! What could possibly be better?!?!?! And, speaking of the beach, the house comes with the use of beach chairs (there were several when we stayed) & a Shibumi Shade (Google it - we did!). The home is decorated very tastefully with clean, light, modern decor. There are lots of puzzles, games, & books to utilize in case you have a rainy day. Oh, and our dogs had THE BEST time on the beach!!! Thank you Michele! We don't often stay in the same place twice, but we will, hopefully, return! ***On a side note, the cleaning lady arrived as we were leaving and she was super sweet & even brought out a dog toy we forgot as we finished loading everything up to leave.

Wonderful Beachfront Vacation

Loved our stay here! Had an amazing week. House has everything and was so clean. Large windows in the house allowed for amazing views even when it was a little chilly outside. Host was wonderful to work with and answered all questions promptly! Loved our time in Surf City!

Awesome New Year's Getaway

Had an absolutely wonderful time during our NYE stay (me, my husband, and our Jack Russell Terrier). Home is a couple roads in from the main road, which makes it more quiet/safer to back out of/into. Location cannot be beat, right on the beach, with private, gated stairs to the beach. Other deck entrance, near the door, also has a gate. Because the bungalow is beachfront, there is not a true yard, this worked for us because we just leashed her/carried her to the beach. Door has a digital lock that worked seamlessly (no need to carry a key!). Deck has plenty of high Adirondack chairs with superb views of the beach/ocean. Inside of bungalow has huge windows all around which makes it beautifully bright/MBR has huge sliders which lets all the natural light come in. MBR is massive/has a bathroom suite attached. All main floors are LVP and there's a broom/dustpan provided so it was easy to sweep up sand brought in. In bed at night, we slept to the sound of the waves crashing, it was so peaceful and relaxing! Bungalow was fully stocked with essentials, even though we brought our own, it's nice it's stocked for when we first arrived and didn't unpack yet. Plenty of plates/silverware/toiletries and the laundry stacker is inside, so no need to travel outside to launder. Dining area was perfect with a good-sized table/chairs to drink coffee and eat breakfast while watching the pelicans fly by. We'd stay here again/hope it's available when we start planning our next trip back!

Great Thanksgiving Treat

I rented for a family thanksgiving getaway could not have been better. Awesome views, me and my 5 year old granddaughter watched sunrise every morning it was beautiful. My son had one day of great surfing because of a storm. Met many great people next door neighbor was great and talking to the many people fishing was lots of fun. Highest recommendation for this beachfront home, great time of the year to enjoy this area

Excellent oceanfront experience

This was the perfect house and location for my escape from reality! Beautiful home. Beautiful beach. Relaxing and quiet. Close to all the things Surf City and Topsail have to offer. Dog friendly! My pup enjoyed the freedom to roam on the gated deck. Michele was an excellent host! I hope to return someday.

Very nice stay and location

We really enjoyed staying at this house. It was right on the beach and we didn’t even have to go outside to enjoy the ocean. We could even hear it at night with all the windows closed and ac on it was lovely. Maybe hard to host 2 families we were just 3 and it was just perfect. It was well stocked with beach chairs and a shelter. We of course brought our own. The only thing we wish was working was the hose outside on the deck. It didn’t fit the spigot. That would have been helpful for spraying our dog off. The location was great for going into town and out for dinner. We really loved the house.

Perfect home in an ideal location

The home was a perfect size and was prepped with all the linens which were clean and fresh so we could get our vacation started right away. The location and view was impeccable. The owner was a very good communicator throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

A Five-Star Experience!

My husband and I and our dog had an amazing experience at Blue Salt Bungalow! Michele was fantastic with communication from before we booked until well after our stay. The house is beautiful, exactly as described and pictured. The layout is ideal, and, of course, the amazing beach views! The wrap-around deck is awesome. We enjoyed both sunrises and moonrises from the deck. We’re accustomed to bringing our own bedding, towels, beach towels, etc. to our beach rentals and it was a treat to have all of this provided. The King bedroom is quite large, with a slider/screen door leading out to the deck. There was enough space in this room for me to set up my yoga mat, fire up the Peloton app (we brought our Fire Sticks), and do barre workouts while enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. There is a public beach access next to the house and it is quite close. This wasn’t a big deal for us and we kept the curtain for the window on that side of the house closed a lot of the time to ensure privacy. Prior to our stay, Michele sent us an incredible guide to the house. She was amazingly responsive throughout our stay whenever we contacted her with questions. The icing on the cake was an easy-peasy checkout process (no cleaning!). Along with everything else Michele provided, this added quite a bit of value to our stay and is something I’d recommend taking into consideration when comparing Blue Salt Bungalow with other rentals. Definitely 5/5 stars, would highly recommend!
