Holiday with extended family

We had a wonderful time and loved the accommodation, but, dining room chairs were in various states of disrepair, there were only 14 forks for a property that house 22, and it was not well supplied, no soap in the kitchen and not enough trash bags for 3 days

Lots of amenities and a good location

The host was very responsive (even after-hours!). There was plenty of rooms and beds for our large group including our corgi, Mocha. Some items we noticed were dated or in need of repair but the place overall is gorgeous and everyone had a great time.

Perfect Stay In Every Way

The entire process was seamless! No hiccups, no issues, no complaints, no surprises! Nothing but positive things to say about the entire community! House was stunning and well equipped. Perfect accommodations for 4 generations! Other guests in houses around us seemed to be having a wonderful time as well. The common areas are kept just as clean as the individual unit we stayed in. 10/10 recommend!

Everything was great! The only reason I gave cleanliness 4 stars is because the floors turned all of our feet black after walking on them barefoot. The main refrigerator never got very cool, but there was another one on the bottom floor that did.

Perfect for our stay!

We had a great stay in this home. The bedrooms are spread out and it never felt like we were on top of each other. There were 5 couples and we stayed in for NYE (safety first :) ) Used the grill for steaks. Beautiful weather so we watched bowl games on the tv outside. Love that the place recycled. They had two ovens which was nice and two fridges which held all of our stuff. The only complaint I'd have was some of the taller barstools were wobbly ( a couple were broken-ish) and we were a wee bit nervous to sit in them. We used the bench seating and the big table for all 10 of us...which sat us all perfectly. I'd recommend this for any big family get together. You start the dishwasher when you leave (which is the norm) and when we got there...we had to put the dishes up. (not the norm). The view of the lake is great. The sunsets were unbelievably perfect from the back deck. We were also able to see the firework show from Big Cedar which was awesome. We would all recommend!!

AWSOME Family vacation

This was a delight. We had almost our entire family. Ages 8-64. We enjoyed boating on the lake & many of the shows throughout the week. Everything was easy to get to. Staff at the State Lake Marina were the best. Leah at the fish hatchery was excellent. I would recommend this stay for any family! Especially if staying at the Cast Away houses!

Perfect family getaway

The home was perfect for our large family getaway (10 adults and 8 children - 9 Mo to 5 yrs old). Each family had their own space with the way the bedrooms and bathrooms were designed. The kitchen was perfect for daily meals. The accommodations were perfect for us! The pool was great as well. Unfortunately the splash pad was not working while we were there but the kids still enjoyed the pool. The location was just a short drive to Moonshine beach which was a nice alternative to the pool.

perfect location

My family and I had a great time. There were a total of 18 of us and plenty of room. I thought it was a two story house but it was 3 stories. the front door comes in to the middle floor and the back porch (towards the pool) walks in on the bottom floor. There was a boat dock if you have a boat and want to bring it (you can't park the boat at the dock but there is space on the property to park the boat). The house was very spacious and it is equipped to accommodate and entertain members of all ages (including a crib). I would definitely recommend.

Very Good!

The location was beautiful. The house was clean and well-equipped. Sitting outside on the patio was very relaxing, and overall, the house met our expectations.
