Excellent location for walking to all major scenes of Sài Gòn. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to making sure that their guests are happy and comfortable. This is my second times staying at this hotel and I will come back again if I visit Vietnam.

So disappointing. This hotel thinks it’s glamorous, but it’s actually really kitsch and tacky. The decor is atrocious – it looks like a McMansion that’s been done up by someone who once saw some snapshots of Versailles. The staff are lovely, as they are everywhere in Vietnam. But the basic facilities are really badly lacking. The WiFi is so slow it’s practically unusable – in order to join a video conference call, we had to walk round the corner to the Sheraton, where the WiFi is more than ten times faster (I’m not exaggerating - 50mb/s compared with 4mb/s). For some reason the bar and the lounge have horribly bright, glaring lighting, making you feel like you’re in a supermarket. And the TV in the room is really dated and doesn’t offer casting or streaming services. The rug in our suite appear to have just been washed. It was still wet and smelled really bad. When we checked in, instead of being shown straight to our room, we were first shown the most expensive suite in the hotel on another floor. Why??? To make us jealous? Or was it a crass attempt to get us to pay for an upgrade? And we weren’t offered a free upgrade, or any other perks that had been advertised as included in our deal. We had just come from the wonderful Banyan Tree hotel in Lang Co. The Reverie was a BIG step down.

All the services and facilities were excellent, and I was very satisfied. However, there was an issue with the taxi arranged by the hotel after check-out. The driver charged 1,350,000 VND for a trip to the airport, which took about 20 minutes. This was more than ten times the price compared to Grab services. It seemed like the driver was trying to overcharge me, but I had no choice but to pay because of my flight schedule. The hotel should ensure that taxi drivers they arrange are properly educated about fare standards.

This is a high class high quality hotel. We stayed in a Panorama room and it was to die for. The views of the river are amazing. The room, amenities, and the staff are all on par with the best hotels in the world. I wish we could have stayed longer but we were only their passing though before our flight home to the states. If I ever go back to Saigon, I will definitely book this hotel again.

In an age of fake 5 star places, The Reverie is a true 5 star hotel. This is the real deal. We spent 3 nights over Christmas here and it was spectacular. The service was impeccable, the facilities were outstanding and the staff were attentive, friendly and warm. All the food, dinner and buffet breakfast was excellent and very high quality. My partner and I got engaged on our first night there and the staff worked with my fiancé to plan a surprise that was extra special and beautiful. The hotel is located centrally and is easy to get to all the places to do and see in HCMC. Right on walking Street and Times Square. Close to excellent restaurants and spa out in town. I cannot recommend The Reverie Hotel enough for your special stay. We had a wonderful stay and if we are ever looking for a truely exceptional stay in HCMC, we will be back in a heartbeat.
