Mostly great house, and responsiveness from Coastal Home & Villa was terrific: quick to answer questions by text and sent out service providers when we had pest and plumbing issues. They fixed all issues and were very pleasant when doing so. Did not inform us that the sofa would be soaking wet on arrival due to a needed cleaning, so we couldn't use it the first night.Location is fantastic. Short walk to the beach and to Salty Dog Cafe. Easy bike ride to pretty much anything else. The garage was STOCKED with small coolers, beach carts, boogie boards and chairs. Note the amenities description doesn't list these so we rented chairs and a bike cart we didn't need (but the $250 credit w/ VaykLife we super helpful). Aside from bikes, you'll find every other beach need covered. The house was clean, tidy & comfortable (even the grill grate was cleaned!). Most rooms could use more/better lighting. A single can light in the entire dining room area and a couple of small lamps were insufficient. The kitchen has a lot of "stuff," but not all the basic necessities. Poorly organized; we spent a lot of time chasing down various tools and dishes. There was not a single whisk or pasta strainer (or salad spinner) - yet oddly there's probably 15-20 serving bowls and numerous large platters. More attention to organization and adding a few basic tools would make it far more functional. I didn't try the knives since I always bring my own. The bed in the primary bedroom was pretty awful, and my husband informed the agency of this. He had to sleep on the sofa most nights due to the super soft bed that had a large indentation in it. The kids all seemed comfortable in theirs though. Providing beach towels is a plus, as was the provision of both laundry and dishwashing soaps (at least 3 of each).Overall, it was a great stay and I'd recommend staying here with the above caveats.
