Very relaxing retreat!

We loved this rental! So much space for everyone! The kitchen/dining space was perfect for meals. We loved having a bathroom for each bedroom. Perfect location for hiking, kayaking, and enjoying the Blue Ridge Parkway. Secluded, but just a short drive from restaurants and wineries. The host was very attentive and informative. Would recommend!

We were vendors for the autumn leaves festival. Best luck ever was finding this jewel available for our stay. It's absolutely breathtaking, the view of wild life, the sunsets and sunrises. Family Long Weekend Getaway

Our stay was one of the best! We take a long weekend trip to the mountains every fall with our two sons and their families. The house is very spacious. Six bedrooms and they each have their own bathroom - such a plus! We took day trips to Hillsville, Galax and Mt. Airy (Mayberry - everything Andy Griffith) - a really FUN day. The house sits adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We highly recommend “Timeless Hillsville Farmhouse”.

Weekend Girl’s Trip

This house was perfect for a girl’s weekend to the wineries. The host was wonderful at responding. House was fully stocked. The only complaint I would have is the sulfur smell of the water and no window treatments on the bottom floor. I would stay again if I needed to stay in the area with a larger crowd.

House was very nice, new and clean. Stairs to enter the house are tall and there are no railings. All bedrooms are on the second and third floors, as are the showers and washer/dryer.

Landscaping

House has some unfinished business, electrical wires out of walls, outlets in coffee bar area wd not work, no where to hand towels or put your luggage other than in floor, no towel racks, no toilet paper holders. Now the outside, it looked awful. Weeds and overgrowth of grass was out of control. Vines growing out of gutters and up the outside of house. No blind or window coverings downstairs. Kids felt exposed. Don’t get me wrong, the house was clean but it needs some tweaking. We hope to come back next year and hope these things are fixed.

A Masterpiece in the Making

Due to an unforeseen issue with another VRBO, we booked this property day before arrival and the client contact, Amy was amazing! This is a brand new 3 story, 6 bed, 6 bath house situated on the Blue Ridge Parkway (about mike marker 192). The house is beautiful overlooking the Carroll County landscape. The amenities are top notch. Appliances are high end, furniture comfortable, bedrooms are large and beds very comfortable. Each room has its own bathroom with plenty of room. Living room has a Smart TV which allowed us to add our Streaming account for shared TV viewing. Only TV in the house. As the title says, “In the making”. There are things that need to be completed to rate this property 10/10. To complete the masterpiece, cupboards need handles, fridge needs handles, ice maker needs to be hooked up, towel racks and TP holders installed in all bathrooms, staining and woodwork complete, fireplace mantels installed, hot water hotter, enhanced outdoor garbage retention (wildlife) and a charcoal BBQ that would accommodate 12 guests. Added serving dishes, mixing bowls and wine glasses to the kitchen as well. We golf twice at Blue Ridge Country Club in Galax, would highly recommend. We also drove to Martinsville VA for the NASCAR race and found travel to and from effortless. WE WILL BE BACK to this awesome property. Thanks for a great long weekend
