We had such a good time at this property. We went up for Thanksgiving and had lots of family time with our family that lives in Ararat! Beautiful views and so close to the BRP.

Mountain home
Beautiful home with an amazing view. Clean and well kept. Plenty of amenities. Had issues with the internet which I made the owner aware and was trying to correct the problem with his carrier. Otherwise , great !
Weekly stay with lots of memories. Home is beautiful. Everything was cozy and comfy. Truly GRATEFUL for the house generator as some strong wind bans from Hurricane Helene came thru and we lost internet, tv connection, no cell service but the house generator kept us comfortable. Trees down all around, had to stay at house one full day until roads were clear. Got to see deer along driveway every morning. House very well stocked and clean.

Beautiful view
All was good with the exception of not having television service which was why I chose to go…to watch college bowl games on New Year’s Eve weekend. The description states that Wi-Fi service would be sporadic but there was no mention that there was no cable TV service in the area. In fact the amenities section listed television. I have discussed this concern with the owner Mark and asked him to consider an adjustment in our charges. The description should be revised as well to reflect the “no cable service” in the home.Other than this issue, I would recommend renting this home. It is spacious and the furniture is comfortable and the decks offer amazing views during the day and night.
My wife and I stayed at this property with our 3 kids aged 4-9 for 4 nights in Oct 2024. We had a wonderful time overall.
First, the property has 2 decks with the upper deck being larger. The view from both decks is a lot better than how it appears in pictures. You can see several mountain peaks. We had fun watching the cows graze at distance on some of the peaks through our binoculars. At night, you can enjoy the stars from the upper deck. The entire house with all its windows is architected for people to enjoy these views!
The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Bedrooms were very comfortable. A variety of furniture, a grill, and hammocks available for the decks. The playroom has plenty of board games and video games available. The kids had a blast.
The drives around the property offer gorgeous views of mountain peaks, farm lands, some wild life like deer. Especially the drive to the Maples restaurant.
A few cons: (1) the backyard is a lot steeper than how it looks in pictures. Kids cannot play there. (2) The telescope that's visible in one of the pictures was not there. (3) The DVD player in the playroom wasn't working. But all the pros make up enough for these cons for me to give this property a 5-star rating.
