The host was adequate to communicate with but we didn't receive full instructions for check-in until an hour before arriving. We had difficulty locating the lockbox code in the prior emails.This was a brand new property and we were the first ones to use the cabin. It smelled strongly of polyurethane due to lack of air movement. We opened doors and windows to air it out, even though the bathroom fan was left on. The "sleeping loft" is the right size for a child or small adult but is only accessible by vertical ladder that did not secure to the opening for the loft. There was no window or vent opening in the loft, so we had our young grand daughter sleep next to us on a makeshift floor bed. The host had provided a hand air pump and air mattress, but they didn't work and we couldn't reach her. We found her cell number much latter in an information book on the counter.The kitchen was new and clean, and items were very thoughtfully provided! The bathroom was nice and well lit, but the shower floor was very slippery and there were no grips to hang onto. I found this challenging as I have knee and hip issues that require me to be more cautious. The entrance steps to the cabin had no railings to hang onto either.I realize this is a first time host, and the property is new. The cabin is clean and very nice but small. I would consider it a "tiny house cabin". It would be nice for a younger couple, but I wouldn't recommend it for those with small children.
