Wonderful...but

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, clean, well stocked cabin. It offers easy access to town and a welcoming glow from the lovely fireplace. Following Hurricane Helene however, the internet availability was iffy. The cable internet had not been restored yet and our hosts did their best by providing 5G internet to the house. The issue came with the 5G service at the house. Because the internet was in and out so often and we did not have cell service at the house itself, we found it incredibly frustrating. I reiterate, the host did the best they could and I do not blame them however it is worth mentioning. I would categorize it as a first world problem and overall this was a fantastic stay with a responsive host. I would recommend this to anyone thinking of visiting Highlands, NC but check on the status of the internet if that is important to you.

Cozy and comfortable

This home was just what we needed to relax . Everything was at our fingertips. We could sit on the lovely porch and enjoy the outdoors or relax in the living room in comfortable chairs. We came for conversation with old friends and spent most of our time enjoying one another in the comfort of this home . We went into town and ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant and had a cocktail at the Old Edward's Inn. Highlands was so laid back and the stores filled with unique gifts for those back home . It was a delightful stay and I highly recommend this lovely home for a great stay !
