Wonderful Stay at Estes Cottage

The Estes Cottage is a beautiful house centrally located near Highlands. The house is very well furnished with all the equipment needed and very comfortable. Loved the layout and the bedrooms. I would defiantly recommend this home to all my family and friends who make a trip to Highlands!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home was absolutely lovely as was working with Highlands Cove Realty to rent it! We were pleasantly surprised to find that the pictures were a true depiction of the home as sometimes that is not the case when renting a vacation home. We will definitely be back to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and we will definitely rent this charmer again!

Adorable, well-kept home

This was a wonderful house for a long weekend getaway that 6 girls planned. The home is nicely decorated, clean, just as listed in the online review and very comfortable. I would say that the 4th "bedroom" downstairs isnt really one anybody would want to stay in - it's basically an unfinished basement with two twin beds. the upstairs, however, was lovely and suited perfectly for our group of 6. I'd rent this property again for sure!

We’ve visited Highlands many times now and Estes Cottage is among the best rental homes we’ve stayed in. Pretty furnishings and updated kitchen and bathrooms made for a lovely home. Best of all, the house is conveniently located a very short drive to downtown Highlands.

Great NC home in a great town!

My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Estes Cottage. The home is beautifully decorated and welcoming. The well-equipped kitchen and outside porch were highlights. The beds were very comfortable. The reason I gave this home a 4 instead of a 4 is the 4th bedroom in the basement was a disappointment. We had to draw for it and felt bad for my friend who had to sleep there. While I can see that the owners tried their best to make this as welcoming as possible, it was not clear in the listing that this bedroom is on the lower level with cinderblock walls and a toilet. I think this would be find for a family traveling with kids, but for 4 women expecting equal accommodations it fell shore on this point. I'll note that there was a walkout from this level but it still felt like a basement. Otherwise the house is really great and we really had a great time.

We had the best time at this rental! It was by far the most well-appointed VRBO rental I have stayed in. Every thing you need for cooking and drinking! Plenty of space for 8 adults to lounge, dine, and sleep. We will be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cottage was absolutely adorable and comfortable! The location is fantastic and close to Main St. which is a huge plus. Will be booking here again in the near future! A couple of tips: There is no Kuerig coffee maker, only a drip one. The description listed a Kuerig so I brought k-cups. This cottage is chilly so pack warm pajamas! Also, fireplace is wood burning without a gas starter. Bring kindling/fire starters to easily start your fires. Overall our family loved staying here and we will be back!!

Family holiday stay

The home was lovely, beautifully decorated, with plenty of room for our family of five. Would be hesitant to book again in the winter as home is located on a steep, poorly grated gravel road. Fortunately for us we had beautiful weather so no issues.

Best Fall Break

My family of 6 (plus our dog) absolutely loved our stay. The home was appointed so beautifully, exceptionally clean and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed and overall it was just perfect! Hope we can return soon!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is close to Highlands, so easy to drive in to town; but be aware that part of the roads are not paved, only gravel. We were fine even driving a sedan; however the road was 100% better after the county grated it a day after we arrived. We would definitely stay there again. I can’t say enough about Highlands Cove Realty. They were awesome to work with from prior to booking and all during our stay. Each person went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. I highly recommend their company for any rental property in the Highlands area!!
