Highlands is our happy place, and this cottage is the perfect place to stay. It was our second time renting here, and we appreciate the comfort and quiet of the cottage. Tucked into a beautiful neighborhood and close to downtown, it has a great well stocked kitchen, an inviting living room, comfy beds, undated baths, and a sunroom and deck surrounded by nature. Can’t wait to return!!

Very clean, homey, and comfortable with many amenities. A great quiet location yet close to town. Our gracious and helpful host went above and beyond with a surprise of cake and fresh flowers for our arrival.

The host was so welcoming with a delicious pound cake and coffee bar (coffee pot and keurig). The home was so clean, beds comfy and location was a quick drive to downtown Highlands and the grocery store was super close too. We will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful stay in Highlands

We had the best time in this lovely home in Highlands. The house is so warm and welcoming, and we loved the neighborhood and location. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, and we would love to return!

Lovely Fall Getaway

We had a great stay in this Highlands home! It accommodated two families with young children really well, was in a good location for easy access to downtown, and had several personal touches that went above and beyond.

We loved the cottage a had a wonderful time. Janet was fantastic with her communication. I would highly recommend, and hope to return soon! Fresh roses and a wonderful coffee cake were unexpected touches! The cottage had everything you could need and more!

Perfect Vacation Spot - Felt right at Home

5 of us stayed in this cute rental and loved it. The property manager was so helpful and accommodating. This property is close to town, just a short commute to all the fun things in Highlands. We will definitely rent again!

Perfect stay!

Our group of five ladies had a great stay at this cute cottage very close to downtown Highlands. The house was just as listed, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is very nice too. Communication with the owner was quick and easy, and we appreciated the yummy cake that was left for us - such a thoughtful gesture! Would definitely stay here again.

Wedding weekend

The home was one of the best locations for our stay, close to the wedding venue, everything about the house and host was perfect. We will certainly return to Highlands, NC and hopefully be able to rent this property again. I highly recommend this location if you liked being treated with a warm welcome, just like family.

Comfortable House in Nice Neighborhood

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is clean, well-maintained, nicely equipped and located in a very pleasant neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the sunroom at the back of the house and the screened in porch. We look forward to staying here again during future visits to Highlands.

We absolutely loved this home. It was perfectly situated close to town. Loved the quiet neighborhood tucked away in downtown Highlands. The house was so clean. Our hostess was so courteous and helpful. We cannot wait to return.

Awesome location- only a few minutes from Highlands in a quiet neighborhood. The house is perfectly appointed with everything you need for a short (or longer) stay. The owner was very accommodating and helpful with check in. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Highlands

The house was in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The house was not far at all from Main Street.

Wonderful mountain retreat

We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was so cozy and welcoming. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and lovely decorations! The screened porch off the back is the perfect place to read, play a board game or have a glass of wine. The location is incredible, just a mile from town but really quiet and private neighborhood. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Annual Girl’s Trip was an awesome experience this year! Our trip to Highlands, NC was bundles of fun!The cottage was perfect for our group of 3! It was conveniently located to downtown in a quiet residential neighborhood.We found the house very clean and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Bear Shadow Trip

We had a wonderful time in Highlands this trip. This is our second trip for Bear Shadow and I expect it to become a yearly trip. The location were perfect and in close proximity to everything. The property was lovely as was the neighborhood. We had a seamless check in and Janet was amazing to work with. Thank you for letting us stay!
