Daylesford is a lovely place to visit with plenty of dining and other options. However, Hotel Frangos was disappointing due solely to the standard of the room we occupied. It was very tired and badly in need of refurbishment. Even the TV in our room was substandard in that there were only two channels. A staff member said there was an outage in the town but this was not correct when we inquired elsewhere.

I wouldn’t stay here. It is very run down and unkept. No care factor at all. No tissues in the room. No water in the fridge. Light didn’t work in the bathroom TV - hardly any channels. Couldn’t watch Australian Open Final Walls covered in filth and floor. Cheap toilet paper Plastic glasses 4 tea satchets all English Breakfast Fan in the bathroom not working Plastic champagne glasses. Air con not cold enough and very noisy

Located in the heart of Daylesford the property is fabulous. A magnificent room that is beautifully decorated. The mattress was very comfortable. Plenty of rooms for guests to relax in. Secure parking.
