It was our 15th trip to OBX and our first time staying in Hatteras Village Turned out to be our best trip yet! The town is wonderful! Comfortable room for its small size Short trip to the beach Highly recommend!

First time staying in cabanas, been going to hatteras for 20 plus years, it was definitely different but very convenient! The place can use a little update but other than that it was great!

It was nice

I took a solo vacation. This property came up. It is the cutest little house. Perfect for a solo traveler. You can't beat the beach location.

Great get away

we were looking to just spend a few days at Cape Hatteras and it was perfect. We walked straight to the beach. Our little cabana was just exactly what we needed. It was clean. It was small but that’s all we needed. Probably will come again.

Hidden gem

Me my husband and my daughter stayed for a entire week , the space is small but Cozy and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed and more and there was plenty of linens and blankets in the space as well! The air was ice cold lol not a bad thing considering it was a hot week during our stay. We loved that there was a DVD player with lots of movies including kids movies ☺️ We will be back for sure we loved that we steps away from the beach!!!

Highly recommend Stolen Moments. We had some issues getting in but Customer Support was super helpful when this occurred! The actual studio felt cozy, it’s a super nice place in an amazing location for a cheap price!

The close walk to the beach. It was a nice little community. You got a covered parking space. What I didn't like about it was the deck stairs were unstable. The shelf the microwave was on was unstable too. And in the shower there was a hole in the soap dish.

An Old-Fashioned Beach Bungalow With All Modern Amenities

This place is CHARMING. It has all the right beachy colors and effects. The hanging double swing and amply sized picnic table on the main deck, with comfortable thatched black wicker chairs and loveseat up top in the crow's nest made outdoor mealtimes and recreation very comfortable. The kitchen is laid out nicely with a remote controlled fan overhead, plenty of range-top lighting, and a hood vent that worked very nicely because we cooked a LOT of seafood. This place is ideal for two adults or a family of four, with books and games, as well as a wiffle bat and ball for some extra beach fun. The bathroom was appointed beautifully with a great color scheme, dark cedar trim and a magnetic multi-head shower faucet, which made cooling down and cleaning up after a day at the beach super-easy. All in all, not a bad week. We will definitely stay in this unit again!

Excellent location!

Couldn’t ask for a better location. Unit is equipped with the necessities. As shown in the photos, pretty outdated but oven, stove, etc get the job done. 2 sets of clean sheets, towels etc which was nice. AC got very cold which was great. Only complaint would be that it seemed that the cleaning crew rushed as there were a few instances things weren’t as clean as expected. Overall, I recommend!

I have 2 complaints. One, not enough hot water for a shower, ran out halfway through. An on demand water heater would be great! Not enough outlets in the kitchen.

Needs Repairs and Updates

The only thing nice about the place is the location everything else was awful. The space is under utilized. The bathroom need repairs the water makes noises when you use it. The stove and oven have knobs you can’t read to use it. The cabinets in the bottom of the kitchen smell musty. Other cabanas are nice this one not so much. This one appears to be rented from a slum load who is just looking to paint and caulk instead of repairing properly. Do yourself a big favor and find something else.

Needs TLC

Railings and steps loose, felt unsafe. No instructions on multiple tv remotes, keep hitting buttons until something good happens. AC remote not working, AC stuck on one temp and fan speed. No water hose for rinsing things off. Shower stall had holes in it and looked like it was caulked by a 10 yr old. Barely adequate for fishing shack which is what I used it for. Would not recommend for families especially with children.

Nice comfortable cabana

I have stayed in other cabanas at this location, and this one was actually cleaner, and better-appointed. As others have mentioned, there are some updates that would help it, but everything was functional, clean, and comfortable for us. The chairs on the upper deck really need to be replaced..they are both broken and not really safe to sit in. The only real complaint, and the managers would have no control over this...but the cabana just next to this one was being renovated, including all outside decks and balcony. There was always noise during the day, and in the evening, we would literally have to do major cleanup on OUR decks, and on our car, because EVERYTHING, including our beach chairs, etc. was covered in sawdust and even screws and wood chips. We could never hang things on the lines outside to dry. For the most part, our stay in this particular cabana was comfortable and enjoyable.

Close to the beach- but run down.

The cabana itself is close to everything-beach, shops, restaurants, and so on. Please be aware of what you are getting. This is not my first stay at one of these little cabanas. This particular property though is not comparable to the others I’ve stayed in. The property owner found the cheapest handyman they could and it shows. The shower, while useable was pieced together and caulked by a kindergartner. The deck railing feels like at any given moment it’s falling off. The cleaning to the property was sub par and it hadn’t had a deep clean in a while. The towels were discolored and stained. The day bed had debris on it, it almost looked like ash. Hot water barley lasted long enough for a quick shower. My husband and I are pretty laid back when it comes to beach rentals, but even he mentioned how bad this property was.

Stay Away (Cockroaches and Terrible Service)

When we first got there, there were no towels to shower. We called them and they said they could being us some the next morning because on site staff wasnt available since it was after 5:00pm (my girlfriend who works in hospitality said a hospitality business isn't a 9 to 5, I agree) not a huge deal, but still an inconvenience. So, we used our beach towels since we just got there and they were still clean. Then we decided to take a walk on the beach, when we came back we saw cockroaches crawling through the kitchen so we immediately called support and they basically said they couldnt do anything until the next day again. So the next day we didnt get any towels still so we went drove to the office in Hatteras and told them about our issues. We got some towels which was great but when i told them about the roaches they seemed completely unfazed, almost like this had already happened and they knew about them already. She said they would try to get pest control there the next day. After that we recieved no further contact, no calls, no pest control, nothing. So i emailed them with a picture of the dead cockroach on the ground and they said "our local team has taken care of the issues that were brought to our attention" They had not, there were still cockroaches in the kitchen, and they were definitely aware, i called them twice about it and talked to them in person with absolutely no help at all. We will never be booking with Vacasa again. And i HIGHLY recommend you dont either.

Excelente lugar

Excelente lugar para pasar vacaciones con la familia, no necesitan traer cosas de porque la casita tiene todo lo necesario como platos, sartenes, cubiertos, vasos. Definitivamente volveremos, lo único malo es el aire acondicionado no hela mucho y el internet creemos que no funciona, pero solo llegábamos solo a dormir eso no fue un problema para nosotros, excelente lugar.
