Room was spotless cannot complain. We booked an accessible room as I’ve recently had a knee replacement. The shower area was really dangerous. Water sealed over the make shift sealant which then wouldn’t drain away. It turned the bathroom into a huge puddle. Was constantly asking for extra towels to dry this up

I’m hesitating between four and five stars - the hotel is great and has the wonderful Harrogate Spa, the food was excellent, staff is fantastic and helpful, but, this IS a really old hotel which means smaller rooms, not temperature controls in each room and minimal “extras” in the room. Which is fine but doesn’t really add up to a five compared to other hotels where we stayed. If you are looking for elegant main rooms with lots of marble, this is a great hotel for you. It’s lovely. It’s close to town and the Convention Center. According to other guests, they have great drinks and the spa is amazing. We didn’t use either. The last time we stayed here was prior to Doubletree by Hilton renovating it and they’ve done a wonderful job. The bathroom is enormous with a good shower but a few little things are keeping me from giving it a 5.

Hi I stayed at your hotel last night in room 115 and was disappointed the room was not a king room as per booking but also the heating wasn’t working so the room was freezing cold. When I raised this with guest services i was told the only other room available was a similar size, which I rejected. I was given a portable heater to counter the broken heating but this kept cutting out through the night and the room never got warm. Please advise on how you plan to rectify this.

An event was going on downstairs which we were not informed about prior to our arrival or upon check in. Loud music vibrating through our room on the first floor until 12:30am. When i called reception i was met with a very short and abrupt response stating that the music would finish soon and then they hung up before i could answer, this was at 10:30pm. I understand that events go on and everything, however some prior warning and the offer for a quieter room would have been appreciated. Overall extremely disappointed.

We were lucky to be upgraded to a superior room which was lovely and spacious. We used the spa facilities which we enjoyed. The only downside was that the room was SO hot, we ended up needing to have the window open, and we could hear the guests in the adjoining room (not with us - the door was locked) very loudly. Breakfast was lovely. Overall an enjoyable stay
