Perfect Family Getaway

Family from 3 different states met here for a week of bonding and relaxation! Perfect location close to beach, shopping, and hiking. The house was very clean and the space was a great layout open and comfortable. Will stay here again in the future.

Great family gathering place

What a beautiful home to gather with family! It was so clean with special little touches to make you feel at home. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality utensils and cookware. The accommodations were comfortable, cozy and spacious. Jake responded promptly to any questions we had and check-in was very easy. We enjoyed our stay in the area with Warren Dunes and beach visits as well as towns within driving distance. Beautiful home to enjoy a summer gathering!

Family vacation

This is a lovely home. Plenty of room for 11 of us. Very clean and lots of kitchen amenities. The baby had an actual wooden mini crib with a good mattress which was great. We really liked the sunroom and had plenty of space for meals in the dining room. Great location. It is a ten minute drive to Warren Dunes state park so spent our beach days there. Also only 10 minutes to New Buffalo. Jake always responded promptly to questions. Definitely look forward to staying here again.

Family and Friend Weekend

We had a great time at this house. The house was perfect for our weekend visiting breweries and going to the beach. The house was well stocked, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed the screen room in the back where we can relax while watching the kids play close by in the back yard. Jacob was a great host and we hope to stay here in again.

What a GEM!!

Our large family stayed here together and we had a wonderful time! The house was beautiful and SO CLEAN! We loved the location and how close it was to Union Pier and New Buffalo. We also loved the proximity to the beach as well. The walk was enjoyable and easy but we did decide to drive when we were taking the kids along as we had two one year olds and the walk was a bit long holding them. Harbert beach was quiet and gorgeous. We spent hours each day there and went back for sunset each evening. The house itself was well stocked and very comfortable. You can tell that the host thought of everything. The porch quickly became our favorite place- everyone gravitating there each morning for coffee and games. We loved the property, the kids played in the yard, the deck was lovely, and the grill worked great. We’ve stayed at many Vrbo properties and we all agreed that this was one of the best. We can’t wait to come back! Jake was very responsive and helpful. The dow written guide inside the house answered any questions we had throughout the week. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of blankets and bath towels, although there were only 6 beach towels so we did have to head to Walmart in Michigan City for several more. Overall one of the best family vacations we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back next summer!

Great getaway!

We had 3 families full of cousins come and staff for a week. The location was awesome for kids to run around and play, the beach was super close and the scenery was BEAUTIFUL! Jake was very communicative and helpful, and the home was stunning. Fantastic property and fantastic hosts. Our only small complaint is that we ran out of hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels and needed to run out and buy some. No big deal in the scheme of things! Highly recommend this property.

Relaxing week in Southwest Michigan

Our expectations were exceeded by this property! It was perfect for our family of 4, plus 2 grandparents. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the sun room and the large living room sectional was big enough for all of us to enjoy a movie every night. It was a short drive to Warren Dunes State Park, where our family thoroughly enjoyed our beach time.

Weekend Trip

Clean and spacious home in a quiet location, with nice 10-minute walk to the beach. Beautiful walking and woods all around. Screened-in back porch and outdoor porch with grill off backyard for dining and relaxation. Short drive from both main strips of New Buffalo and Sawyer. Great spot, great host. Look forward to returning.

Amazing place to stay!

This is such a gorgeous house that looks exactly like the pictures! The house was clean and so trendy! Really appreciated the kitchen being stocked with essentials. The beds are SO comfy. We had quick access to the beach and the house is located in a quaint and quiet little circle drive. Jake was quick to respond and check in when we had questions. Would highly reccomend staying here.

Perfect Spot

This was my first time ever booking with VRBO and Jacob made it easy! I was hosting my sisters Bachelorette party and I wanted everything to go smoothly. We had never been to this are so I was lost and needed some guidance on where to eat, explore and so on. Jacob answered ALL of my questions and he did it super fast...and I had a lot of questions. The place was the perfect spot to fit us 12 girls including three pregnant ladies comfortably! Even the neighbors were friendly! Overall we had an excellent experience and I highly recommend this location for your next large gathering.

So great!

Came to this brand new beautiful house for a bachelorette party and this was the perfect house! We didn’t even want to leave the house for our activities because of how great this house was. But we did, and it was easily accessible to anything we would want. Jake was very responsive and flexible, and there were even treats left in the house for us. Would definitely come back here anytime!

Five of us stayed at the house for a weekend and we were very impressed by how clean everything was, how modern everything was, and how many things there were in the home that we didn’t expect like condiments, coffee, etc. Our host was very communicative and the overall experience was excellent.

Girlfriend Birthday Celebration

The house was just as perfect as it looks in the pictures but better! It was pretty warm out so we didn’t get to enjoy the screened in porch or patio but they were beautiful and inviting. We did spend time at nearby Cherry Beach to cool off. It was awesome! Now to the important part, it stormed hard during the second night of our 3 night stay. I woke up during the night to find that the power was out. All I can add is IT WAS DARK! I scared the bejebers out of myself and one of the ladies who had gotten up to go to the bathroom! Tried going back to bed hoping it would resolve itself, it didn’t. I had to burst the birthday girl’s bubble when she got up at the crack of dawn to make coffee. I texted Jake at 7 AM to let him know. He responded immediately and said he would make calls to find out what was going on. We learned that the whole area and surrounding towns were out, the area substation was underwater from the storm. Jake made calls and was told that power would be restored by 10 AM, it came and went. Jake kept me posted, checking to make sure we were ok. He was also so apologetic, but we all knew it wasn’t anything he could control. We decided we would try to wait the situation out. We went to the beach. When we got back, Jake contacted me to say that the next target time was 8PM. Again, so apologetic! He said he understood if we left but were welcome to stay. He said either way he would refund us the third day. We opted to be adventurous and stay. We found a place to grab a bite to eat then picked up some candles, a cooler and ice. I admit I was hard on the ladies about keeping things shut tight, but it worked! In spite of how hot and humid it had been all day, the house was still cool and comfortable, the white wine in the fridge still cold. We are talking no power for over 12 hours! We settled in, 8 came and went but we were enjoying our evening. We joked about who would stand in front of the mirror and call up Mary Worth when it got dark, we were all going to sleep upstairs in the big bedroom. But then around 9:30 PM the power came back on. We all agree we ended up enjoying our disconnected time. Jake checked on us first thing the next morning. We really cannot say enough good things about the house and Jake! Memories made!

Great Vacation Home

This home was perfect for our group of 6 that stayed for 4 nights. We enjoyed the open concept kitchen/living space, screened-in porch, deck with large dining table, and fire pit. We had plenty of space to spread out. The walk to the beach was ~15 minutes which would have been too much to tote all of our beach gear, however there are parking spaces available at the top of the beach access steps which worked out great. The only drawback was the construction that was happening on Red Arrow Hwy. Since this home is the 1st house off of that main road, it was quite noisy in the early morning and the construction dust was bad during the morning hours too. This home is a short drive to New Buffalo and Warren Dunes which we enjoyed very much!

Incredible home and host!

This property was brand new and perfect in every way. We were 9 ladies and everyone loved it. Plenty of space, exceptionally clean, well decorated, comfortable beds (including the futon!) and couches, and generously stocked with some welcome wine, snacks, and more. The screened-in patio room was a huge hit with our group. The beach is a pleasant and easy 10-to-15-minute walk. The house had a wagon to haul all of our stuff there ... it was plenty big and we loaded it up, yet it was still super easy to pull. I'm not sure how much else there is to do in the immediate/walkable vicinity ... we cabbed north a bit one evening for dinner, south to New Buffalo the next night, and did a full-day wine tour on our third day. Jake was such a wonderful, responsive, and thoughtful host. Thank you for everything! We'd definitely stay again.

Perfect weekend getaway

This property was beautiful, and had absolutely everything we needed for a great vacation. We were a group of 9 adult friends, looking to spend some quality time together. The house was very clean, well appointed, beautifully decorated and super comfortable. It was easy to find what we needed, and the hosts have thought of everything! While the weather did not fully cooperate, we were still able to enjoy a good amount of time at the beach (easy 15 min walk and very short drive, limited parking available). We also were able to enjoy time out on the patio, and around the fire pit. When it rained, we played games in the sunroom and watched a movie on the super comfy couch. We opted to cook/ grill most of our meals in, and the kitchen was very accommodating for that. We even arrived to some wine and drinks waiting for us. As long as you are ok with sharing bedrooms, this house is perfect for a large friends getaway, but would also be great for families. There are plenty of bed spaces, and everyone slept well. The house was easy to find, and a quick drive to many breweries and restaurants. Definitely consider this place!
